The Lighthouse Project

The Lighthouse Project Who we are: Sweet? What we’re doing.

Nah…
Four ordinary blokes on an extraordinary journey: raising awareness of, and fundraising for, local legends who are doing their thing for men’s mental health. We’re road tripping 6000km round Aotearoa in 12 days, visiting some of our prominent lighthouses, 24 in fact...

Along the way we’ll meet local legends striving to improve wellbeing in their communities. Through each stage of the journey

we’ll be picking up leaders of grassroots organisations and drawing awareness to their cause, sharing their stories and mahi. When we park up for the night, we’ll host charity catch ups, encouraging ordinary blokes to have the courage to say nah when someone asks if they’re sweet.

I owe the moana so much as an individual ❤️ I missed World Ocean Day yesterday as I had parent teacher meetings until 7pm, so here’s my aroha. At least once a week I get out amongst our environment and try to improve things - but it’s as much for the environment as it is for me 🤙🏽 my head space needs this and nothing has ever been as welcoming and as cleansing as my time spent surfing, fishing, spear fishing or swimming 🤯 If you’re battling some darkness - get into nature asap, whether that be your local awa, moana, maunga or ngahere - 5min will shift your perspective 🤙🏽🌳🌊

Such an epic event and some unbelievable generosity out there ❤️

You want a rugby jersey? Limited edition but there’s a catch - we only have 22 - and they’re at a charity auction in Thames 🤙🏽
So you’ve got two options:
1 - come on down to the club, watch some mean footy, have 🍺 and a chat and then bid ✅ Or - option 2: Send us a dm with what you’d like to pay and we’ll bid for ya 👌🏽

If you’re anywhere on the Coro peninsula and are keen for a good ol knees up and some honest banter - we’ll see you at the Sports Club on Saturday 🏉❤️

Round 2: Yarns continued 👌🏽 What a bloke! Sam Sim O'Sullivan witnessed first hand the need for greater support and understanding at the top of the cliff - and did something about it. If you can ignore me then you'll find he has some gems to share 🤙🏽
