I am so excited to be offering the " Face up Method " here at Massage in Wanaka Wellness Spa.......
After more than 40 years as both a massage therapist and beauty therapist, I felt I had a pretty good understanding of the body and face.
Then I discovered the Face Up Method by Olga Newman.
What excited me immediately was how beautifully it brought together everything I already knew about posture, fascia, jaw tension, movement, ageing and the body's interconnected nature — and then how her course has taken it to a whole new level........I have learnt so much from her and her method. I can't wait to share the results I am getting with you also.
I discovered that I was a chest breather, like much of the population. I breathed through my mouth. My tongue wasn't resting on the roof of my mouth.
These may seem like small things, but making these changes has had profound effects on my own body.
The face is not separate from the body.
It is the endpoint of the body's fascial chains.
The way we breathe, stand, walk, move, chew, swallow and hold tension throughout life can all influence what we see reflected in the mirror.
