We were really lucky today to receive an Alyson Howell original 'Spectacle of Spectacles'.
Immediately it went to pride of place next to other great artwork on our walls.

Alyson (who also bakes a mean rhubarb and date cake) has more artwork at Alfred Memelink Artspace Gallery in Petone.

So, I guess it begs the question... what have you done for your favourite local optometrist lately???

FRAME OF THE WEEK!

This week is a case of something old, something new.
are new to Woodward Optical and so figured I'd highlight them with Frame of the Week. The something old is the design of 9690, the frame in questions. The rectangular angled style is a nod to 90s Hollywood. We are seeing a lot of 90s fashion coming through many brands at the moment, some of which we actually like!

9690 is a strong acetate frame sporting a 7 barreled hinge making it a frame of both style and substance.

My favourite part of this frame?
The colour name.

Humble Potato.
HUMBLE POTATO!!!!
That's some nail polish random naming and I love it.

FRAME OF THE WEEK!

Family owned and operated could be starring every time for FoTW. Their collection is the epitome of classic yet modern. I have called on the Vilda this week as they are a bold take on the conservative square frame. The red dot rivet accents have had some people crying "oh no it's Dame Edna!". To that I say:
1. You wish
2. Hardly
3. If the Nice Dads of Hollywood (Tom Hanks and Stanley Tucci) can wear the Vilda and look boss, it's hardly Dame Edna's scene is it?
