Registrations are now open for the World Indigenous Su***de Prevention Conference 2026, hosted by Te Rau Ora at Tuurangawaewae Marae, Ngaaruawaahia, 4–6 November.

In 2016, 450 of us stood together in Rotorua and endorsed the Tūramarama Declaration. A commitment that all our peoples can live well, into old age. A decade on, that kaupapa has travelled the world. In November, we gather again under the theme 𝗪𝗮𝗶 𝗢𝗿𝗮 – 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, drawing on the enduring strength and life-giving nature of our awa.

National Māori Recovery Hui Registrations are open

Te Ahi Wairua and Ngāti Kurī have sent out a karanga for whānau to register for this years biannual National Māori Recovery Hui.

💫This is an opportunity for us to highlight our collective and individual successes, challenges, stories and experiences, as well as whakawhanaungatanga with others who have dedicated themselves to be in service of our whānau.

Pōwhiri: Friday 9am 27th November

📣The North Canterbury Youth Futures Careers Expo is a local careers expo for local young people. There will be a wide range of businesses, organisations and training providers and this year we have over 60 stallholders registered.

The event aims to be an engaging and informative opportunity for North Canterbury’s young people to:
