Tantrum ≠ Meltdown
They may look similar, but the reason behind them can be very different.
Instead of only asking, “How do I stop this?” ask:
“What is my child trying to communicate?”

Exploring TLR through movement!
These activities may support postural control, body awareness, core control, coordination, and movement against gravity—skills that can be relevant when TLR continues to influence movement.
Remember, every child is different. Activities should be selected according to the child's individual needs and occupational therapy assessment.

TLR is an early developmental reflex that influences muscle tone, posture, and movement in response to head position and gravity.
As children develop, voluntary postural control takes over. When a child continues to show movement or postural difficulties, a broader assessment can help identify what skills may need support.

Your child knows many words—but are they using them to communicate?
Speech is only one part of communication. What matters is how a child uses language to express needs, answer, share, interact, and connect with others.
Don't just count the words. Look at how they're being used.

When your child pulls your hand to what they want, they are already communicating.
Our goal is to help them move from hand-leading → gestures → sounds → words → phrases, one step at a time.
Don't just ask, “Why isn't my child talking?”
Ask, “What's the next step I can teach them?”

But my child understands everything!” — We hear this from parents all the time.
Understanding language and using language are two different skills. A child may understand much more than they can express.
If your child understands but isn't talking yet, look beyond the words and understand where the communication gap may be.
Communication is more than just speaking.

Moro Reflex — the startle reflex
The Moro Reflex is a normal part of early development. As children grow, it typically becomes less noticeable. If it continues to influence a child’s responses, some children may show challenges with sensory processing, regulation, or adapting to unexpected changes.
