کویت میڈیکل کمپلیکس سکردو میں چھاتی کے سرطان سے متعلق آگاہی سیمینار کا انعقاد

کویت میڈیکل کمپلیکس (KMC) سکردو میں چھاتی کے سرطان سے متعلق آگاہی سیمینار منعقد کیا گیا، جس کا مقصد عوام میں شعور بیدار کرنا، بروقت تشخیص کی اہمیت اجاگر کرنا اور اس مرض سے بچاؤ اور علاج کے حوالے سے آگاہی فراہم کرنا تھا۔ اس موقع پر گلگت بلتستان اسمبلی کے معزز اسپیکر نے بطور مہمانِ خصوصی شرکت کی۔
ڈاکٹر ردا شاہد، پلاسٹک سرجن کویت میڈیکل کمپلیکس، نے چھاتی کے سرطان کے اسباب، تشخیصی طریقوں، علاج اور بالخصوص خود معائنہ کرنے کے طریقۂ کار پر تفصیلی پریزنٹیشن دی۔ انہوں نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ ابتدائی علامات کی بروقت شناخت اور طبی مشورہ اس مرض کی تشخیص اور مؤثر علاج میں اہم کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔
سیمینار میں جنرل سرجری، انکالوجی، ریڈیالوجی، امراضِ نسواں، جلد اور نفسیات کے ماہرین پر مشتمل پینل نے اپنی پیشہ ورانہ آرا اور تجربات کا تبادلہ کیا۔ ماہرین نے شرکاء کے سوالات کے جوابات بھی دیے اور چھاتی کے سرطان سے متعلق مختلف خدشات اور عام غلط فہمیوں کو دور کرنے کے لیے مفید رہنمائی فراہم کی۔
سیمینار کے دوران اس بات پر زور دیا گیا کہ بیماری کی بروقت تشخیص، فوری طبی مشورے اور بنیادی سطح پر صحت کی سہولیات کو مضبوط بنانا انتہائی ضروری ہے تاکہ مرض کو خطرناک اور پیچیدہ مراحل تک پہنچنے سے پہلے شناخت کرکے مناسب علاج فراہم کیا جا سکے۔
اس موقع پر ڈائریکٹر ہیلتھ سروسز، بلتستان ریجن، ڈاکٹر صادق شاہ نے محکمۂ صحت گلگت بلتستان کی خدمات اور کامیابیوں پر روشنی ڈالی۔ انہوں نے بنیادی صحت کی سہولیات سے لے کر اعلیٰ سطح کے علاج تک عوام کو طبی سہولیات فراہم کرنے کے لیے محکمۂ صحت کی کاوشوں کا ذکر کیا۔
عوامی صحت کے فروغ کے لیے اپنے عزم کا اعادہ کرتے ہوئے کویت میڈیکل کمپلیکس نے مفت بریسٹ کلینک کی سہولت میں مزید ایک ہفتے، یعنی 31 اکتوبر 2026 تک توسیع کا اعلان کیا، تاکہ خواتین کو چھاتی کے معائنے اور ماہرین سے طبی رہنمائی حاصل کرنے کا موقع میسر رہے۔

Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar Held at Kuwait Medical Complex, Skardu

Kuwait Medical Complex (KMC), Skardu, organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar to promote public awareness, encourage early detection, and emphasize the importance of timely medical consultation in the fight against breast cancer. The Honorable Speaker of the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Dr. Rida Shahid, Plastic Surgeon at KMC, delivered a comprehensive presentation on breast cancer, covering its causes, screening methods, treatment options, and, most importantly, the significance of breast self-examination in recognizing potential warning signs at an early stage.
An expert panel comprising specialists in General Surgery, Oncology, Radiology, Gynecology, Dermatology, and Psychiatry shared their professional insights and clinical experiences. The panel also responded to questions from the audience, providing valuable guidance and addressing common concerns related to breast cancer.
The seminar highlighted the importance of early detection, timely medical consultation, and strengthening healthcare services at the primary level to facilitate diagnosis and treatment before the disease progresses to advanced stages.
On this occasion, the Director Health Services, Baltistan Region, Dr. Sadiq Shah, highlighted the role and achievements of the Gilgit-Baltistan Health Department in delivering healthcare services, from primary healthcare to tertiary-level facilities.
In a further commitment to community health, Kuwait Medical Complex has extended its Free Breast Clinic for an additional week, until 31 October 2026, providing women with continued access to breast examinations and professional medical guidance.
In his concluding remarks, the Honorable Chief Guest appreciated KMC’s efforts to promote health education and raise public awareness about breast cancer. He also assured his support for initiatives aimed at improving the availability and accessibility of healthcare services for the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
