💡 Cosa faremo:

👥 Max. 10 partecipanti

Prevista diretta facebook per i non presenti.

📲 Social Media Addiction: The Role of Attachment Styles and Mental Health 📲

A recent study of 571 college students found that 22.7% showed signs of social media addiction. The research highlights:

🔹 Students with social media addiction tend to have an insecure, ambivalent-closed attachment style, indicating difficulties in relationships and increased need for acceptance.

🔹 These individuals scored higher in neuroticism (emotional instability) and showed elevated symptoms of depression, anxiety, and somatization compared to non-addicted peers.

🔹 Addiction was more common among users of image-focused platforms like Instagram and Pinterest, who also reported body dissatisfaction and negative self-esteem influenced by social media comparisons.

🔹 Cluster analysis revealed three groups based on attachment style and mental health:

Secure attachment: lowest addiction rates and better mental health

Ambivalent clingy attachment: moderate addiction and mental health issues

Ambivalent closed attachment: highest addiction rates and mental health problems

🔹 Therapeutic interventions should address these attachment-related vulnerabilities and promote secure attachment behaviors to reduce social media addiction.

Understanding these patterns is crucial for mental health professionals and anyone navigating the digital world mindfully.

The Impact of ChatGPT & LLMs on Mental Health: What You Need to Know

Large language models like ChatGPT are changing how we interact with technology—and our minds. While they offer round-the-clock support and can model empathetic conversations, recent evidence shows they may also unintentionally amplify psychotic symptoms in vulnerable individuals. These AI systems can mirror or validate delusions, blur reality boundaries, and even contribute to worsening mental health.

But there’s hope: experts suggest personalized AI safety plans, reflective check-ins, and digital safeguards that help users maintain reality testing and protect epistemic security.

AI is becoming part of mental health care—it's vital to understand both its benefits and risks to stay safe and supported.

Anger is natural, but how we handle it makes all the difference. 🌿 Swipe through to learn why punching walls is so "last century" and discover science-backed strategies to manage anger healthily.

👁️ Notice your anger without judgment using mindfulness
🧠 Challenge those unhelpful thoughts that fuel frustration
⏸️ Pause before reacting to avoid impulsive outbursts

Poor anger control can harm your mental health, relationships, and even lead to risky behaviors. But with awareness and practice, you can choose calm over chaos.
