Fine-needle aspiration (FNA): Uses a very thin needle to collect cells or fluid.
Core needle biopsy: Uses a larger hollow needle to remove a small cylinder of tissue; commonly used for breast, liver, lymph node, or other masses.
Image-guided biopsy: Ultrasound, CT, or mammography may guide the needle to the exact area.
What to expect:
