We are makers and creators at heart and we want to honour the traditions that come from centuries of making things by hand. In a world proliferated by industrialised products, we offer a different aesthetic - one that is uniquely differentiated, no two pieces exactly alike because each one has been created by human hands. There is nothing older than sewing with needle and thread and these basic hu

man traditions passed down the centuries are the same techniques that form the foundation of our work. Weaving beads either with a needle (off-loom) or on a loom, is the tapestry with which we express form, function, colour and meaning in the jewelry we create. Using hand intensive techniques with such very basic tools also allows us to train and work with artisans, who, for the lack of capital, would not otherwise be able to enter the premium market of high design goods. Thus, handmade is to us, not in the least, a means of providing fair and sustainable work for such individuals and communities.

Last week, we gathered around the table at for our first Salon.

Over tea and madeleines, five women shared stories about home — the places, people and rituals that shape our sense of belonging, and how that idea changes through different seasons of life.

As women who have spent time living overseas, we’ve each wondered about, missed and thought about home — casually, intensely, and everywhere in between. Around the table, we spoke about what anchors that sense of home: being unabashedly ourselves and the absence of pressure, judgement or performance.

Two years ago, we opened our home at with Duxton Blue.

Despite eight years as an independent brand, we had never had a flagship store before, let alone run retail seven days a week, so it’s been a stretch in every way. In those early days, simply making sure the doors stayed open each day felt like an achievement.

But gradually, and with the help of many generous hands and hearts, became more than a store. It became the warm, welcoming home we had dreamed it could be.

So it felt timely to mark two years with a fresh take on the signature collection that opened our Duxton chapter.

Meet Duxton Rose — the gentler sister of Duxton Blue. Softer, but rooted in the same spirit of place. And perhaps especially fitting at a time when we could all use a little more gentleness.

One of the loveliest things about our Duxton studio is welcoming familiar faces back. After joining us for a beading workshop previously, Lenka returned with her sister-in-law and niece, who were visiting from the Czech Republic.

The three of them spent the afternoon creating their own rings, something personal to bring home and remember their time together in Singapore.

Thank you for choosing to spend part of your visit with us. We hope the rings always bring back happy memories of this special family afternoon ❤️

So glad to host this lovely team from Boston for a beading workshop during their stay in Singapore for a conference. We had fun with making our single beaded charm necklace with colours customized to each person.

Not only did everyone walk away with a finished necklace in two hours, we shared stories, laughed and spent an afternoon creating a piece to remember their time in Singapore by.

It’s one of the reasons we love having our Duxton store. We’ve made a home to share with guests from all over the world. ❤️
