World Humanitarian Day 2026
Humanitarian action begins with people and communities. When crises affect communities, local people are often the first to respond by caring for their families, supporting their neighbours, sharing knowledge, and finding ways to keep their communities safe and healthy.
Humanitarian support is not only about providing immediate assistance. It is also about sharing knowledge and skills that communities can continue to apply.
At Health for All Foundation-Burma Children Medical Fund (HFA-BCMF), we believe meaningful humanitarian action starts by listening to communities, working alongside them, and supporting their ability.
We work alongside local communities by providing a number of training including wheelchair fitting, rehabilitation, and reproductive health and rights. By sharing knowledge and building local capacity, we help communities become more confident and healthier.
This World Humanitarian Day, we celebrate the strength of local communities and the power of working together. We honour our staff, community volunteers, health workers, local responders, and everyone who helps those affected by crises.
