Mitchell John "Mitch" Todd

Mitchell “Mitch” Todd, 60, passed away tragically in a motorcycle accident on May 3, 2026, in Brady. Mitch was born on November 17, 1965, in Burlingame, CA to Marlene Todd and James Todd.

In 1966, Mitch’s family moved to Elma, where he spent the rest of his life. Mitch was the middle child between his older brother, Martin Todd, and younger brother, Jerry Todd. He graduated from Elma High School in 1984.

After high school, Mitch attended Centralia College and graduated in 1986, with an associate degree in forestry. Mitch began his career with Weyerhaeuser, where he spent his first five years working in the machine room and roll line at the mill in Cosmopolis. He later joined the pipefitting crew, where he worked for the next 15 years.

Following the closure of the Weyerhaeuser mill, Mitch became a union journeyman pipefitter with Local 26. In the spring of 2008, he started at Precision Pipe Fabricators, where he spent the remainder of his career. Through hard work and dedication, Mitch worked his way up to foreman and earned the respect of his coworkers and fellow contractors throughout the industry.

In 1997, Mitch married Lori Genson, and together they welcomed their son, Dalton Todd. Mitch and Lori later divorced in 2006. Mitch raised Dalton and cherished the time they spent together throughout his life.

Mitch was a proud fastpitch coach and helped coach the Elma High School softball team to a 3rd place state finish in 2005, and a state championship in 2014. He was loved by every girl he coached and made a lasting impact on countless young athletes throughout the years.

Mitch was the kind of man people could always count on — loyal, generous, and always willing to help others. He formed lifelong friendships and treated many people like family.

Mitch loved hunting, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and riding his motorcycle. He will be remembered for his big heart, sense of humor, and unwavering support for those around him.

Mitch is survived by his mother, Marlene Todd; his son, Dalton Todd; his brothers, Martin Todd and his wife Amanda Todd, and Jerry Todd; along with many extended family members and close friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. He was preceded in death by his father, James Todd.

A celebration of life will be held on June 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in the Pavillion. Please take a moment to share your memories or notes of condolence for the family at www.fernhillfuneral.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.

“Rest easy, Mitch. You will always be loved, remembered, and deeply missed.”
