We operate a critical access hospital in Afton and specialty clinics in surrounding communities. Our specialty care includes audiology, cardiology, dermatology, gynecology, obstetrics, oncology, orthopedics, and urology. In addition to our hospital and clinics we operate our Senior Care Center in Afton and provide EMS support throughout the region. We have been named a top 20 critical access hospital by the National Rural Health Association.

Urgent care will be available in Afton from 7 a.m.-1 p.m., in Alpine from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and in Bridger Valley from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. If you need us, our Afton and Alpine ERs are open 24/7. If you live with a heart arrhythmia, you’ve experienced unexplained fainting, or you’re recovering from a stroke or heart attack, an implantable loop recorder (ILR) can provide insights into your heart’s activity. A loop recorder is a small medical device that’s inserted in your chest, and the procedure usually only takes about 30 minutes. Loop recorder implantation is available at our cardiac catheterization lab in Alpine. Contact our cardiology team at 307-654-5852 to learn more.

While many newborns receive hearing screenings, hearing loss can still develop in early childhood. If your child isn’t meeting speech milestones, speaks with a raised voice, or is unresponsive when spoken to, it may be time to see a specialist. “If you’re worried about their language development, get them checked early,” says otolaryngologist Dr. Scott Major. “And if your child doesn’t pass their screening tests, it’s so important to follow up with us.” We provide audiology and ENT services in Afton. If you’re one of the many individuals living with high blood pressure, you’ve now got one more option to help bring your blood pressure under control. Cardiologist Dr. David Gonzalez is now specially trained to perform the Symplicity blood pressure procedure. Symplicity is a minimally invasive procedure that targets overactive renal nerves, which may help to reduce blood pressure. Dr. Gonzalez will host an informative presentation on the Symplicity procedure at the Thayne Senior Center on August 12. The event is free. We hope you’ll join us!
