If you live with bowel incontinence, overactive bladder, or urinary retention, Axonics may bring the relief you’re seeking. Axonics is an implantable device that can help restore healthy nerve signaling between your brain, bladder, and bowel. “Think of it like a pacemaker, but for your bladder,” explains OB/GYN Dr. Donald Howser. “It provides electrical stimuli to your bladder to settle it down, because your bladder is aggravated. High blood pressure can be very difficult to manage, but you’ve now got one more tool in your toolkit. The Symplicity blood pressure procedure is a minimally invasive procedure that targets overactive renal nerves, which may help to reduce blood pressure. It’s Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re all in on helping the men in our community access timely and comprehensive care. The American Urological Association recommends that initial screening begin via a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood test starting at 45-50 years old, or 40-45 years old if you’re considered high risk. We all hope to look after our loved ones as best we can.
