My happy place. A lot of times after my last patient leaves for the day, I clean up and I just sit in my office and reflect on the families and individuals that I have encountered. I pray that I have impacted their lives in someway. I think back to all of the stories I have heard, all of the tears I have seen, all of the laughter I hear and yet sometimes there are sessions a lot harder than others… Somehow we always end our sessions with a smile on our faces. Life is so hard. Please make sure you are kind to everyone, no matter if they seem to “have it all together.“

Hurt… have you ever been hurt before? Have you ever FELT hurt before? When things consistently hurt us or makes us feel bad, when people consistently hurt us and make us feel bad… sometimes it is US who has to be the one to let go even though we are not the ones causing the hurt. And that also hurts.. but letting go of the hurt and what hurt you is the one thing that will make you stronger.

I hope you can find it in you today to give yourself grace and forgiveness. I hope you know how important you are. I hope that whatever use to hurt you no longer has the power to make you feel bad about yourself or the ability to control any part of you anymore. You are stronger and getting stronger every single day.

If we didn’t have storms that brought rain, we wouldn’t have growth. Flowers bloom in the season that is best for them. And so do we. But sometimes, those seasons come with heavy storms or maybe even just a light rain. Either way, choose to let that season of your life bring you growth and strength for the next season of life.
