What a remarkable moment to celebrate!

We are filled with gratitude after celebrating the groundbreaking of our New Independent Living Neighborhood, Memory Care and kitchen expansion alongside resident council members, community partners, elected officials, board members, project leaders, team members, and friends of the community.

This milestone represents years of planning, vision, and dedication, but more importantly, it represents the future. The future residents who will call Mennonite Village home. The friendships that will be formed. The memories that will be made. And the continued commitment to providing a vibrant, welcoming place for seniors to thrive.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate and to all who have supported this journey along the way. Seeing so many people come together to mark this exciting chapter was truly inspiring.

The gold shovels may be back in storage, but the work is just beginning. We look forward to sharing construction progress and milestones as we bring this vision to life.

There’s something special growing in our community this time of year. 🌱🌼

Mennonite Village’s resident garden is one of the largest community gardens you’ll find in senior living, offering opportunities for both raised-bed and in-ground gardening. With convenient water access and support from our team, residents can continue doing what they love while enjoying the rewards of watching their hard work bloom.

Gardening offers so much more than beautiful flowers and fresh vegetables. It encourages movement, supports physical and mental well-being, creates opportunities for social connection, and provides a sense of purpose and accomplishment with every seed planted and w**d pulled.

As you stroll through the garden today, you’ll see vibrant colors, thriving plants, and evidence of countless hours of care from the residents who tend these spaces with pride. Their dedication has transformed this corner of our campus into a place of beauty, growth, and community.

We are grateful for the residents whose green thumbs help make our campus bloom year after year. 🌻🍅🌿

We’re proud to have hosted our second annual Fraud Fighter Summit at Mennonite Village! Residents joined forces with local community partners to learn how to stay safe from scams and fraud. A heartfelt thank you to the SHIBA program and the Oregon Attorney General’s Office for their insightful presentations and dedication to protecting our community. Together, we’re building a safer, more informed Village!

Mennonite Village honored National Day of Prayer with our heartfelt Walk of Blessings. Residents and staff came together under blue skies, sharing prayers, songs, and fresh flowers as symbols of hope and unity.

Chaplain Tim led us in song and prayer, Chaplain Jaqui gifted beautiful blooms, and Director of Wellness Bernadette guided us through our scenic campus. Each step was filled with gratitude, reflection, and connection.

Festive moments at Mennonite Village! 🎉

Residents and staff came together to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a vibrant social hour featuring refreshing non-alcoholic margaritas, flavorful elote corn chip bowls, and sweet strawberry-filled churros. We’re grateful to our incredible Dining Team for their creativity and care in making every event memorable. Thank you for bringing joy and deliciousness to our community!

Mennonite Village is expanding! As we gear up to break ground on building new cottages for our independent living neighborhoods, we have enjoyed hosting informational sessions monthly to invite folks in to learn about opportunities for residency.

Shout out to our dining team for creating beautiful spreads for our events for guests to enjoy, the marketing team for hosting, and to Greystone for being a pillar of our April event.

With over 90% of the new homes reserved, we look forward to continuing connections and helping folks plan for their future at Mennonite Village! 🏡

Mennonite Village held a very special sendoff event saying goodbye to the beloved "H" - what once was the location for the Mennonite Home Skilled Nursing.
This milestone marks the beginning of a large project underway in the community to build a new kitchen alongside a new and improved memory care building! Will you join us in saying farewell and celebrate new beginnings?
