Kelly M. Ballard / Medium & Energy Healer

Kelly M. Ballard / Medium & Energy Healer Fourth-generation Intuitive Medium, Energy Healer, Reiki Master & Minister. 25+ years of working with Spirit. Manifesting Maven, LOA lover, professional hugger.

Founder of Reflective Harmony, Albany NY. I was eight years old the first time I consciously remember a Spirit finding me. After that, it simply became my normal -- seeing what other people didn't, knowing things before they happened, and spending a good portion of my childhood trying to make sense of both. I was lucky. My Grandma Ceal was my first mentor and teacher, and she didn't tell me I had an overactive imagination. She told me what it was. I'm a fourth-generation Medium, Intuitive, Healer, and Teacher, and I've been walking alongside Spirit for more than 25 years now. Between my Guides, the Infinite Creator, a long line of extraordinary living mentors and teachers, and the friends who've held me up along the way, I still feel like I've only just started down the path Spirit laid out in front of me. Every session is an adventure. I become the conduit between the Spirit world and the living, and I bring the whole of it -- compassion, healing, humor, and the directness and honesty Spirit is known for. Spirit doesn't do vague. Neither do I. The Healing Work

Alongside mediumship, I offer a range of healing modalities: Reiki, Shamanic Energy Work, Sound Healing, Tapping, Kirlian Photography, and Energy Work. No two sessions look alike, because no two clients do. Whatever tools I'm guided toward, we talk it through together and build a session that meets you where you actually are. I also have extensive training in the Law of Attraction and Manifesting, and I coach clients on using their heart space as a sacred compass -- turning those principles into a daily practice instead of a poster on the wall. This is the work of increasing your capacity to thrive, and it's some of my favorite work there is. Ministry, Grief, and the Work at the Threshold

I'm an Ordained Spiritualist Minister, and stepping into that role reshaped my relationship with Spirit in ways I'm still unpacking. As a Minister who wears a very Mediumship-shaped hat, I create ceremony for funerals, celebrations of life, memorials, and committal services. I also do a tremendous amount of work with clients and their families during the active dying process. This is the work I hold most closely. It takes the fear out of death and dying. It brings families back into the same room and helps them hold each other. And it makes space for what I know to be true -- that the relationship doesn't end when the body does. Connection continues. Being trusted with those hours is one of the great honors of my life. Teaching

Teacher might be my favorite hat of all. I'm a Usui Reiki Master and Teacher and I teach all four levels of Reiki. I teach Mediumship and Intuitive Development classes, webinars on metaphysical and spiritual topics, and I work extensively with clients on the Law of Attraction and Manifesting. I don't teach from a pedestal. Everything I know, someone taught me first -- and most of what I know arrived because I was willing to be bad at it in front of someone kind. That's the room I try to create. Reflective Harmony

I'm the founder and owner of Reflective Harmony in Albany, NY -- an energetic ecosystem and wellness center where spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being all live under one roof. It's home to mediumship and energy healing, sacred sound and drumming circles, art therapy and creative workshops, yoga, breathwork, somatic practices, holistic and nutritional wellness, and a circle of brilliant Collaborators who make the whole thing hum. I built it because healing shouldn't require you to drive to six different buildings and explain yourself six different times. Whole-person wellness isn't a philosophy here. It's the heartbeat. Where This Work Has Taken Me

For over 15 years I've been a recurring guest across talk radio, including "Natural Instincts" with the late Dr. Carol Tunney on WBTN 1370 AM out of Bennington, Vermont, and weekly segments on "Mulrooney in the Morning" on 104.9 FM in Albany. I hosted "The Kelly Ballard Show: Insight and Inspiration from the Great Beyond" on Transformation Talk Radio, and recorded with the BBM Global Network. I've been brought in for intuitive and mediumistic consultations, fundraisers, and speaking engagements by businesses large and small across the country, community groups and organizations, university classes, therapists and social workers, local and state police departments, and real estate agents and new homebuyers. I've also recorded two guided meditation albums with the wonderfully talented recording artist and composer Peter Koniuto -- "Beginnings" and "Courage" -- both still available. And When I'm Not Working

I'm a wife to a fantastic Maine-ah, and Momma to two wonderful kiddos and two dramatically over-the-top cats. You'll usually find me at a volleyball match, in the garden losing a long war against the weeds, or near the water -- my happy place. I love to travel. And nothing sets the tone for a good day like a cup of creamer with a splash of coffee in it. These souls and these small things light me up, fill me with joy, and keep me honest about showing up as who I actually am. Every time I sit down with Spirit, I learn something. I'm honored to do this work, and I wholeheartedly believe there's no ceiling on how far any of us can grow. If something in here landed -- if Spirit has been nudging you, if you're grieving and tired of platitudes, or if your intuition has been talking and you're finally ready to listen -- I'd love to sit with you. Come as you are. 🀍

This is the single most common thing I am reframing on my table right now, so I want to put it here for everyone.

Say you have spent years working on removing difficult personalities from your life. You have done the reading, the therapy, the energy work, the boundary practice. And then another one shows up. And your entire nervous system goes: this again? Did none of it work? Am I back at square one?

You are not.

The pattern did not come back because you failed. It came back because you finally have the strength, the courage, and the skill set to actually do the work all the way through -- where before, you could only go so far. You could only set a certain kind of boundary. Not because you were weak, but because that was legitimately all the capacity you had at the time, and you were spending most of it just surviving the thing.

I lived my own version of this energy in July. Old wounds, old patterns, things I was certain I had finished. And what I finally understood was that I had not failed the first round. I had passed it. Passing it is what earned me the harder assignment.

So here is the part I do not want you to skip. That earlier version of you -- the one who could only do so much -- she does not need your criticism. She needs your compassion and your forgiveness. She got you here.

Save this one. Send it to whoever needs it. And if the pattern is currently standing in your living room, know that its timing is not an accident. 🀍

Two kinds of people get on my table and I love them both equally.

The ones who show up terrified and do it anyway, and the ones who want to want it but are not quite there.
Here is what I need you to hear if you are in the second group. Hesitation is not a character flaw. It is information. Sometimes it means not yet. Sometimes it means we need to build something else first. Sometimes it means we are just going to explore today and nothing is going to release and that is completely, entirely fine.

I have never once looked at someone on my table and thought, well, you're behind.

And for the first group -- the ones white-knuckling it through the parking lot and coming in anyway -- I mean this literally. The smallest yes is the whole entry fee. You do not have to arrive brave. You do not have to arrive ready. You do not have to arrive knowing what you need.

Say yes to yourself once, and I will carry the rest with your guides and your ancestors and every person of yours who has been waiting for you to sit down.

Which one are you right now? No judgment either way, I promise.

People ask me how I always seem to find joy and the answer is deeply unimpressive: I look for something small every single day and I refuse to let it be too small to count. (truth!)

Some days it is enormous. Some days it is Celia's volleyball match or a text from Ethan at college or my husband snagging pizza on the way home so no one is cooking! (wink wink!) Some days it is Hazel finally deciding to grace us with her presence, or Oscar just being his robust unbothered self in the middle of the hallway where everyone has to walk around him.

And some days, hand to heart, it is a truly excellent cup of coffee that I made accidentally and will never replicate.

That still counts. Joy is not graded on a curve. And every single time you find one and actually let yourself feel it, your vibration comes up -- which means your connection to Spirit gets easier, your intuition gets louder, and the day you thought was a write-off is suddenly workable.

Choosing joy is not toxic positivity, it is maintenance.

What was yours today? Tell me the smallest one you've got. β˜•

✨Weekly Energy Updates✨

09/06/2026

If your July was hard, this is for you.

Mine was deeply uncomfortable. Roadblocks and walls and this relentless revisiting of things I had already done the work on -- old wounds, old patterns, stuff I had declared finished with genuine confidence.
And the reframe that saved me was this: it was never that I had not outgrown it. It was that I had finally been handed the tools to finish it.

That is a different thing entirely. That is not backsliding. That is being trusted with the harder version.
I watched it move through my clients. I watched it move through my students. I watched it move through the practitioners in my own building, all at once, and there was almost nothing any of us could do except let it unravel itself.

Then August arrived with this unveiling energy -- Spirit handing me things to build with no preview of the outcome, asking me to leap and promising nothing except that there would be space for it to land.
And here we are in September, and I am building. Out loud. In a way I have not let myself do before.

So if you are sitting there feeling like the last two months undid you -- consider that they were clearing room.
And that what comes next needs the room.

Where are you in this? Tell me. I read every one. 🀍

Here is something I have been saying on my table a lot lately.

We think our capacity is the size of our energy field. Fingertip to fingertip, above the head, below the feet. And listen, that is a beautiful and decent chunk of real estate. Nothing wrong with it.

But most people are not treating that as a starting point. They are treating it as a fence.

This is what I can hold. This is how much support I'm allowed. This is the size of the life that's reasonable for me.

And what I keep hearing, over and over, in session after session, is Spirit asking people to stop measuring. To move past what they think they know about their own limits. Because the capacity to receive is not fixed and it was never meant to be.

Sometimes the work on my table is not clearing anything at all. Sometimes it is just helping someone identify what their capacity actually is right now -- and then gently, deliberately expanding it. Because you cannot receive what you have decided you do not have room for.

And underneath that, almost always, is the real work: remembering you are worth the space.

That is where we start. That is often where everything starts.

Where in your life have you been quietly deciding you don't have room? 🀍

I am an i's-dotted, t's-crossed, let's-launch-it-and-never-touch-it-again kind of woman.

So being asked to trust blindly, with no plan and no preview and no end result in sight, has been -- and I say this with love and full respect -- deeply annoying.

Here is what keeps me honest about it though. They have never let me down. Not once. Twenty-five years of following instructions I did not understand at the time, and there has never been a single piece of bad advice.
Have I gotten bad advice from human beings? Oh, absolutely. And there is real growth in that too, because every one of those moments taught me the same lesson: I should have listened to my own instinct. I should have bet on me.

So now I get the assignment, I complain about it briefly and privately, and then I do it anyway.

Tell me I'm not the only planner out here being asked to freefall. πŸ˜…

I have been sitting on this for weeks and I am finally allowed to say it out loud.

Back in July, in the middle of one of the most uncomfortable stretches I have had in years, Spirit handed me something to build and gave me absolutely nothing to go on. No end result. No picture of what it was for. Just a very clear instruction and a very clear now.

You already know how I feel about being asked to work without a plan.

I did it anyway.

What came out of it is called The Sounding, and it is a monthly ceremony of sound, depth, and return that I will be leading at Reflective Harmony. The first half is sound -- bowls, chimes, rainsticks, leaf fans, soft drums, harps, rattles -- and it is designed to carry you down past the part of your mind that has been managing everything since the second you opened your eyes this morning. The second half is ceremony, whatever the month is asking for. And then we come all the way back, every time. Feet on the floor, breath in your body, steady before you stand.

You will leave grounded. You will leave holding something in your hand. You will leave whole.

Debut is October 13. Full details coming this month, and I will tell you now -- seats are limited and there will almost certainly be a waitlist. https://f.mtr.cool/reumzlkx1s

If your body just said something to you while you read this, listen to it. 🀍

Twenty-six years and I have never once not landed.

I have taken risks that made people in my life visibly nervous. I have said yes to things Spirit handed me without a single clue what the end result was supposed to look like. I have jumped with no net, no plan, and no proof.

And every time -- every single time -- I have not only landed, I have landed somewhere so much bigger than the version I could have designed for myself.

That is the part nobody prepares you for. We brace for survival. We rarely brace for the landing being better than the plan.

I know the risk you are looking at right now is relative. What terrifies you and what terrifies me might look nothing alike, and that is exactly as it should be. But whatever yours is, I want you to notice something: you have been here before. You have made it through things you could not see the end of. You have a track record too.

You just have not been counting it.

What are you standing at the edge of? Tell me in the comments -- I want to know what you're about to jump into.

Nobody questions the September reset. We just do it.

Kids go back, the calendar tightens, and something in all of us starts running the numbers on how much we can accomplish before the year turns over. I watch it happen every single fall, and this year it is louder than I have seen it in a long time.

Here is what concerns me. People are not resetting. They are reaching backward. They are pulling routines and systems and rhythms off the shelf that genuinely worked in the first half of this year -- and then wondering why those things feel like wearing someone else's coat.

They feel that way because summer disrupted something. A lot of you got pulled into a hard pause you did not ask for. Old patterns came back up. Things you were sure you had finished came knocking again. And you came out the other side of that changed, whether or not you have named it yet.

You cannot reset into a life you already outgrew.

So instead of asking what you can cram in before January, try the question I have been sitting with for weeks: if you knew you could not fail, if there was no version of this where it went wrong -- what would you actually do?

Answer honestly. Then start there.

Drop a πŸ‚ if you needed this one today.
