Alabama’s Tax-Free Weekend is July 18–19, and our PT staff is sharing what to look for when picking out the perfect school shoes for your child!

✅ PT-Approved Features:
• Flexible soles that move with growing feet
• Supportive insoles with good arch support

🚫 Try to Avoid:
• Loose-fitting slip-on shoes
• Stiff soles with little or no arch support

Remember—your child will be wearing these shoes for 8+ hours a day! They’ll be walking the halls, running at recess, climbing on the playground, and staying active, so choose support and comfort over looks and convenience. Healthy feet help keep kids moving!
