Happy Tuesday All!

We're excited to bring you another episode from our
TPRC Nutrition Group Recovery Recipes-this time featuring a Sweet Potato Bowl with Hot Honey-crafted to support healing through food.

In this episode, our team walks you through a simple, nutrient-dense meal that's packed with flavor while still being easy to recreate at home. Meals like this help stabilize energy, support brain health, and make healthy eating feel realistic-not overwhelming.

Because recovery isn't just about breaking old habits-it's about building new ones that actually fuel your life.

Here's how to make it
Ingredients:

• 2 large sweet potatoes (cubed)
• 1-2 tbsp olive oil
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 1 tsp paprika
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder
• 1 cup cooked protein (Beef)
• 1/2 avocado (sliced)
• Optional: sautéed veggies (spinach, peppers, onions)
Hot Honey Sauce:
• 2 tbsp honey
• 1-2 tsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
• Pinch of red pepper flakes
Directions:
1. Roast sweet potatoes at 400°F for 25-30 minutes with olive oil and seasonings until tender.
2. Cook your protein of choice and set aside.
3. Mix together honey, hot sauce, and red pepper
flakes.
4. Build your bowl: sweet potatoes, protein, veggies,
5. Drizzle hot honey over the top and enjoy.
Why this matters:

Balanced meals like this help regulate mood, reduce cravings, and support your body during recovery-while still tasting🔥

Tune in each Tuesday for meals you can cook along with and build into your routine.

Thank you to everybody who stopped by and connected with us during Pride Weekend. 🏳️‍🌈

The conversations around healing, mental health, recovery, and emotional wellness truly mattered.

People don’t always need perfection.
Sometimes they simply need support.

Sometimes they just need somebody willing to listen.

Community changes lives.

Good food has a way of bringing people together 🤝🌮

Today at the Wellness Center here at Turning Point Recovery Center, we made homemade chicken fajitas with fresh bell peppers, onions, Spanish rice, refried beans, and a roasted garden salsa made with tomatoes, jalapeños, garlic, lime, and cilantro.

Moments like these are about more than just food. They’re about learning healthy habits, building community, creating routine, and reminding ourselves that recovery can also look like laughter around the table and sharing a meal together 💙

🔥 Quick Recipe Breakdown:

• Slice bell peppers and onions
• Season chicken with your favorite fajita seasoning and cook until golden brown
• Warm up refried beans and Spanish rice
• Roast tomatoes, onions, garlic, and jalapeños with a little oil in the oven until softened and slightly charred
• Blend roasted veggies together for salsa, then mix in lime, cilantro, and fresh onions
• Warm tortillas and plate everything together

And of course… finish it off with root beer floats 🍨

From our table to yours.

Pride is about more than celebration. 🏳️‍🌈
It’s also about healing, honesty, support, and community.

Please come stop by our booth, connect with our team, ask questions, grab resources, or simply say hello.

If you or somebody you know is struggling with mental health or substance use, please know there are people who care and resources available.
