Bills season starts Sunday, which means Game Day Snacks are back! 🏈💙❤️

And yes, that 👆 is the Red Zone Jalapeño Corn Dip - sweet corn, jalapeños, creamy cheesy goodness and just enough kick.

September freezer meals are officially DONE, packed and ready to go. 🙌

After what felt like a solid week of shopping, cutting chicken, par-boiling potatoes, shredding cheese, mincing garlic, making homemade stock and assembling meals…I should probably stay out of the kitchen for a minute.

Apparently I don’t know how to do that. 😂

I made soup instead.

Actually, I made two.

🥣 Southwestern Beef & Black Bean Soup
A hearty taco-style soup with seasoned ground beef, black beans, corn, tomatoes and mild green chilis.

🧀 Nacho Ordinary Cheddar Soup
A creamy cheddar soup made with homemade chicken stock, broccoli, ditalini and seasoned ground beef.

These are fresh and ready to heat, not part of the freezer soup menu I have coming.

And speaking of what’s coming…I’m working on a separate freezer soup menu, a game day menu AND a breakfast menu.

I made Pastina last weekend, two more soups this weekend, and I’m realizing I really could eat soup every day. 😂

I have been in the kitchen every day since Saturday, so tonight I am officially taking the night off. 😂

Saturday and Sunday were full days of shopping, prepping, organizing and starting meal assembly.

Since then:
30 lbs of chicken diced and flash frozen ✔️
Baby potatoes par-boiled, seasoned and flash frozen ✔️
Cheese shredded ✔️
Garlic minced ✔️
Homemade stock made ✔️
And a whole lot of September meals assembled ✔️

Monday and Tuesday after work were more prep and assembly, and tomorrow night I’ll finish up the Swedish Meatballs, the last meal standing.

If your order does not include Swedish Meatballs, keep an eye out for a message from me tonight or tomorrow morning about pickup.

And because apparently I don’t know how to stay out of the kitchen for long and I have had a few persistent fans wondering about a soup menu… 😂

I’ll be releasing a breakfast menu and a separate soup menu very soon.

I made a Chicken Pastina this past weekend and could honestly eat soup every single day.

Okay, apparently you guys were ready for freezer meals again. 😂

I already have 10 September orders in and Swedish Meatballs are leading the pack with only 3 left at the moment! I've limited myself to batching 12 of each meal to ease back into production.

September’s menu was very intentionally built for three different kinds of nights:

A little personal news from Jen today…

I became a Grandma for the very first time!

Sweet Annie Louise arrived August 17, and this Grandma is completely smitten.

Life has been pretty full lately, but this is by far the sweetest thing happening in my world. ❤️

I can not believe it has been three months!!

I took some time away from Meals by Jen and other responsibilities because life was busy, heavy, and wonderful all at the same time.

I had fun. I dealt with some stressful stuff. I spent time with people I love. I went places. I would like to pretend I slowed down but it was not enough most days and some days more than enough. Lawn Fete was a success, wedding and baby showers, birthdays, concerts, family.

And now?

I'm actually craving a little routine again. I want to plan menus. Make lists. Get back in the kitchen. Maybe help bring a little routine back to your house, too. Because dinner doesn't stop needing to happen just because we're tired, busy, working, running kids around or simply don't feel like dealing with it.

And with our first grandbaby coming soon, I've got even more motivation to get cooking. I already plan to shower my son and daughter-in-law with single-serve meals, family meals.... basically anything I can cram into their freezer. 😂

Food is my love language.

Apparently that's true whether I'm feeding my own family or yours.

So...here we go.

Meals by Jen is back.

Now I just need to decide what we're eating first. ❤️

These are raw freezer meals you cook at home. The soup is made fresh, you just need to heat.

I came home late Monday evening from a trip to Florida with my daughter. It has been non-stop since then. I will be posting May's menu as soon as I have a few moments to settle my brain. I have a few different menus I will be releasing a little at a time. In the mean time, my Half Sheet Pans are available to order. Get ahead of Mother's Day, Father's Day, Graduation, Birthdays, Showers, or just order for your family to make life easier on any given Tuesday.
