Don Everett Mallicoat, SFC USA (Ret.)

Age 91, of Alexandria, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2026. He is the beloved husband of the late Nettie Mallicoat (2015); loving father of Karen Mallicoat-Rodriguez (Manuel) and Cheryl Dutton (Joseph); grandfather of Kimbery and Timothy Dutton.

Frederick John Roe, of Alexandria, Virginia, died August 19, 2026 at Fairfax Hospital.

Frederick was born September 3, 1949, in Newark, New Jersey, the third child of Fletcher John Roe and Lillian Alberta Roe [Kniffin].

Fred devoted much of his professional life to public service and tax work. He worked for the Internal
Revenue Service for 35 years as a revenue agent, with assignments in New Jersey, Philadelphia,
Washington, D.C., Paris, and throughout Western Europe. He retired from the IRS in 2005. Following his retirement, he began a second career with Block Advisors, where he worked for approximately 20 years as a tax advisor.

Fred excelled in that role and was recognized as a top advisor with Block Advisors. He developed lasting relationships with many loyal clients who returned to him year after year because they trusted his knowledge, patience, and judgment. Outside of work, he was also the person friends and neighbors frequently turned to when they needed help making sense of their taxes, and he was always willing to help them find clarity.

Fred was deeply involved in his son Christopher's childhood and activities. Over the years, he was active in soccer, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts, serving in multiple leadership and management roles. Whether an organization needed someone to help coordinate an activity, drive to an event, take on a responsibility, or simply lend a hand, Fred was willing to step in wherever he was needed. Joseph Todd Earle, Commander USN Retired, died peacefully on July 24 at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital following a moderate stroke.

Todd was born on August 21, 1938, to Walter Boyd Earle and Elvira Marie Todd Earle in Brooklyn, New York, the second of three sons. He graduated from The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, in 1956, and Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, in 1960. Following graduation from Colgate University, Todd attended Navy Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. Upon graduation he was commissioned as an Ensign.

Todd ‘s Navy career started in the Amphibious Fleet in San Diego, California. In 1963 he attended Surface Warfare Officer’s School in Newport, Rhode Island, and was designated as a Surface Warfare Officer. During his Navy career he served aboard seven ships and three staffs, including one year in country in Vietnam. Following his tour in Vietnam, he moved his young family to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, for four years and then on to Yokosuka, Japan for two years.

After being stationed outside the continental United States for seven years, Todd moved his family back to Northern Virginia so his three sons could learn about their country. His final tour was in the Pentagon in the newly established Congressional Correspondents section, answering inquiries from families of Naval personnel. He retired on January 1, 1985.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Roger Charles Bouharb, age 63, of Alexandria, Virginia, who departed this life on August 7, 2026.

Born on January 4, 1963, in Lebanon, Roger was a devoted husband to Nicole Bouharb; a beloved father to Charles and Patrick Bouharb; a cherished brother to Edgard and Antoine Bouharb; and a dear friend to many. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all those whose lives he touched.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 6222 Franconia Road, Alexandria, VA 22310.

A graveside service will immediately follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, 6600 S Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306.

Following the interment, the family warmly welcomes family and friends to join them for a Meal of Mercy at the Bouharb residence, where they will gather in remembrance and celebration of Roger’s life.

In honor of Roger’s life and his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, the family kindly asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to organizations dedicated to advancing pancreatic cancer research, improving treatment, and supporting those affected by this disease.

Mark R. Morris of Vienna, Virginia passed away on Saturday, August 1, at the age of 61.

Mark was born on May 5, 1965, in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, to Jesse and Ann Morris. He spent his early years in Key West, Florida before moving with his family to Norfolk and later Springfield, Virginia.

Mark was a graduate of West Springfield High School and Longwood University, where he was a proud member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He went on to earn his master’s degree from the University of Maryland and built a successful career as a government IT consultant, working with several leading firms throughout his professional life.

A lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and Miami Dolphins, Mark also enjoyed reading science fiction novels, Formula 1 racing (Team Ferrari, of course), and exploring new places. He had a passion for travel, most recently sharing memorable trips to Scotland and Italy with his daughters. He was also halfway toward achieving his goal of visiting every Major League Baseball stadium.

Those who knew Mark will remember his sense of humor, quick wit, and ability to make others feel at ease. A true friend, he was always there for support, encouragement, and good company. Mark left lasting impressions on the many people whose lives he touched.

Above all, Mark treasured time spent with his family. Mark is survived by his beloved daughters, Ashley and Michelle, and his brother, Scott. He will be deeply missed and lovingly...

IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT WE ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF OUR BELOVED
MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER

Brigitte Hoang passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, in Falls Church, Virginia, at the
age of 87. She was born on October 20, 1938, in Quảng Ngãi, Vietnam. Her life's journey
took her from Vietnam to France, then to New Jersey and California, before returning to
France in her retirement years, reflecting a life defined by family, friendship, adventure,
and professional accomplishment.

Brigitte was a lifelong optimist whose warmth, resilience, and gentle spirit carried her
family through life’s greatest challenges with grace, courage, and a youthful sparkle.
She had a deep appreciation for beauty and culture. She loved fashion, watching tennis,
classic French and Vietnamese music, and French cinema, especially the films of her
favorite actresses, Romy Schneider and Catherine Deneuve. Among her favorites was
Indochine, which resonated deeply with her French and Vietnamese roots.

An avid traveler, she delighted in discovering new places and embracing new experiences.
Her journeys took her across the United States and throughout Europe and Asia, including
several returns to Vietnam to reconnect with family, friends, and her roots. She especially
treasured these adventures, particularly those shared with her beloved cousin, Trà Mi, and
Trà Mi’s husband, Dr. Phạm Doãn Đế.

Paul F. Bradican (87)

Of Springfield, VA passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease. Beloved husband to the late Miriam Margaret Bradican (Nee Notz). Loving father to Marianne Padgett (Scott) and Michael Bradican (Maria); grandfather to John Paul Bradican, Michael Bradican, Jr., and Connor Padgett. Great Grandfather to Ian Conor Bradican. He will truly be missed by many.

Paul was born in Dunmore, PA to the late Albert A. and Pauline Bradican (nee Carroll). He attended Dunmore High School and the University of Scranton, graduating with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Secondary Education/English and was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Army. After a brief teaching assignment in Baltimore, MD, he was assigned to the 2nd Howitzer Battalion, 4th Field Artillery Regiment at Fort Sill, OK. Both of his children, Marianne and Michael were born there. After completing his active duty tour, he returned to Dunmore, PA and accepted a teaching position at Dunmore High School where he taught English and Social Studies for 30 years. He also continued his service in the Army. He had numerous Reserve and active duty tours over his 30 years of service, including serving as Senior Operations Officer for the 300th Field Hospital, Wilkes Barre, PA, and commanding the 322nd General Hospital at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ during his last tour. He retired at the rank of Colonel.
