We are saddened to announce the passing of Robert Alvin Fike, a beloved father,
grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who passed away on August 11, 2026, at the
age of 79. Born on July 26, 1947, in Rochester, PA, Robert was the beloved son of the
late James and Tressa Fike.
Robert was a proud alumnus of Aliquippa High School, graduating with the class of
1965. Shortly thereafter, he answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the U.S.
Navy in July 1966. He served on active duty from December 1966 to November 1970
and continued to serve in the U.S. Navy Reserve until June 1979. His service to his
country was a time he often looked back on with great fondness.
A career spanning nearly three decades was spent at Teledyne Vasco in Monaca,
where Robert's dedication and leadership were recognized during his tenure as Union
President.
Robert was a valued member of both the American Legion and the VFW, where he
shared camaraderie and community with fellow veterans. These organizations were
dear to him, as they provided him with the opportunity to continue serving his
community and maintaining the bonds of brotherhood formed during his military
service.
He is survived by his daughters, Leanne Fike and her husband Robert Fishman, and
Rosemarie Fike and her husband Brandon McLaughlin. He was the proud grandfather
to Isabella and Alexandra Fishman, whom he cherished deeply. Robert is also survived

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James A. Ursitti, Jr., of Monaca, PA on
August 12, 2026, at the age of 86. He was a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-
grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and cherished member of his community.
James (Jim, Mim, Mimmie, Mimbo), was born on March 13, 1940, in Sewickley, PA and lived most of
his life in the Aliquippa and Center Township areas. After graduation from Aliquippa High School, he
started working for Lucci Brothers Cabinet Shop before his long career as a Machinist at J&L/LTV
Steel in Aliquippa, then retiring from Warren Consolidated Industries in Warren, OH as a Supervisor.
James was a devoted husband, loving father, and caring “Pap” and “Pappy Jimmy” and adoring
“Uncle Mim” and “Uncle Jim.”
James was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Josephine (Peduzzi) Ursitti; his siblings,
brother Robert Ursitti, his wife Michelle “Mickie,” and niece Kellie; sister Judy French, her husband
Jack, and niece Nancy Chapple; and brother Richard Ursitti; and sister-in-law Jeannie, wife of the late
Bill Vickodil.
He is survived by his wife, Carolina (Laurenzi) Lucci Ursitti; his children James Ursitti III of Brighton
Twp and Anita Seese (Randy) of Center Twp; his grandchildren Katie Farkas (Zac) of Industry, PA,
Gina Seese of Boston, MA, and Lily Seese, a student at Penn State University in State College, PA;

Dwight “Moe” Alan Damaso, of Hopewell Twp. passed away on July 30, 2026, following a sudden progression of lymphoma. He was 67 years old.

Born on June 2, 1959, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Moe was known for his generous heart, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to the people he loved. Affectionately known as “Moe” by his family and lifelong friends, he lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and kindness.

Moe dedicated 33 years of service to the Hopewell Township Water Treatment Plant. Throughout his life, he was never one to shy away from hard work. In addition to his career, he helped establish and support two family-run delis and took on numerous part-time jobs to provide for his family and enjoy the hobbies that brought him happiness.

He found joy in trips to Atlantic City, evenings at the neighborhood bar with friends, and creating lasting memories by taking his children on vacations to Universal Studios. Moe was known for his generosity, quietly giving to friends, family, and local organizations whenever he could. Above all else, his greatest loves were his children, his brothers, his lifelong friends, sharing a good, hearty laugh, and, of course, the neighborhood cats that always seemed to find a friend in him.

Martha A. Valo, 88, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Aliquippa and New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026.
She was born on April 6, 1938, to the late George and Susan (Pollak) Valo. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her beloved husband John “Jack” Dempsey and her sister-in-law, Edith Valo.
Martha was a graduate of Carlow College and continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her master’s degree and became a registered dietitian.
She devoted her professional life to caring for others through nutrition and service, serving as the head of the dietary department at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
Martha and her husband made their home in New Jersey 30 years before relocating to Florida.
She especially enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family during vacations, creating cherished memories with those she loved.
She is survived by her brother, Albert Valo; nieces, Mary Ann (Jim) Gillooly and Joanne (John) Katekovich; nephew, Albert Valo; great-niece, Rachel Katekovich; numerous relatives in Switzerland and Slovakia and two special friends Machiel and Marion.
Martha will be remembered for her dedication to her work, her thoughtful care for those around her, and the many ways she enriched the lives of family, friends, colleagues, and patients.
A private blessing service was held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, where Martha was laid to rest with her husband.

Joseph "Jody" Traficante, affectionately known as "Pappy," passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He fought with unwavering strength, determination, and a true “Never Give Up” spirit throughout his life. Even in his final days, his courage, resilience, and love for his family never wavered. Though our hearts are broken, we find peace knowing he was wholly embraced by those who loved him most.
A proud Pittsburgh native, Jody was born to the late John Traficante and Lorraine Martinelli. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his half-brothers, John Traficante and Michael Traficante.
Jody was the beloved husband and soulmate of Carina (Aulicino) Traficante. High School Sweethearts, they shared an extraordinary love story spanning 50 years together and 44 years of marriage, celebrating their anniversary on July 10th. Their marriage was built on unwavering love, friendship, devotion, and countless cherished memories.
Jody was the proud and loving father of daughter Thalina (Traficante) Gudson and her husband, MSgt. Jonathan Michael Gudson, and his son, his “Comp,” his best friend, Joseph Jason Traficante, and his fiancée, Cecelia Ullom.
