Apparently I chose a career with homework and no summer break.

You love your kids. You would also love to eat a snack without an audience or answer exactly zero questions for ten minutes. Both can be true!

Needing time to not be needed doesn’t make you a bad mom. It makes you a person with needs, too.

Recently, I’ve learned how much therapists talk s**t about other therapists, and it’s absolutely wild to me.

We spend our days helping people navigate judgment, gossip, and feeling like they aren’t enough. Can we please stop giving each other more material to bring to therapy?
