Medicare Advantage plans can have important coverage limitations that may affect your care. As open enrollment continues through December 7, we encourage seniors to review their options, consult with their healthcare provider and take advantage of free, unbiased Medicare counseling through Nebraska SHIP.

96% of Nebraska hospitals report that Medicare Advantage plan beneficiaries are often unaware of or misunderstand key aspects of their plan such as provider network restrictions, prior authorization requirements, or coverage limitations. Services or providers that would be covered under Traditional Medicare are often denied with a Medicare Advantage plan.

The Nebraska State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) provides free, unbiased, and personalized counseling on Medicare to help seniors understand their options. Seniors should know the facts about Medicare Advantage and consult with their health care provider before enrolling or switching plans during open enrollment running now through December 7th.

✨MVP Spotlight

🔷AHS MVP: Ryley Poss
Sport: Volleyball 🏐
"Ryley is an all-around great volleyball player. She may be most known for her kills and hitting percentage, but her digs and serving are high on the list as well. She can be a momentum changer for her team, and she has been fun to watch all season."

♦️HHS MVP: Atlee Gasseling
Sport: Volleyball 🏐
"Atlee is a student of the game of volleyball. She comes to practice everyday with a tremendous attitude and willingness to learn. Atlee gives her best everyday and encourages her teammates no matter if she is on the court or on the sidelines. She is an incredible teammate and her improvement is a testament to her work ethic. Keep up the good work, Atlee!"

◾Safety, Excellence, Compassion, Integrity, Devotion, and Teamwork → these are the core values driving BBGH every day. To promote these values, we recognize Box Butte County high school student-athletes who put these values into action, both in and out of uniform. Being an MVP isn't always about the scoreboard. It's about the character of the player and their impact on the team and community. Thank you to AHS and HHS for partnering with us to nominate and celebrate these !
