GoodWerk GoodWerk provides culturally responsive therapeutic services that support, uplift, and empower marginalized and underserved communities.

As a social justice counselor, counselor educator, professor, author, consultant, and Afro-Caribbean immigrant, I help individuals, and organizations work through mental and emotional challenges while thriving in the face of adversities. My training in multiculturalism and social justice allows me to curate personalized treatment plans using an intersectional framework that strives to understand y

our unique identities (i.e., gender, race, ethicality, sexual orientation, ability) and how they may contribute to your psychological and community stressors. Specifically, my work focuses on providing culturally responsive services to Black indigenous people of color (BIPOC), le***an gay bisexual transgender q***r + (LGBTQ+), and other disenfranchised communities to work through emotional distress, trauma, relationship challenges and identity development. As a licensed mental health counselor in the state of New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey, I strive to use my knowledge, experience, and research to provide culturally responsive counseling services, foster understanding and healing, and provide guidance on how to create safer spaces for all.

Equality is also about having the freedom to prioritize your well-being.💜

This Women’s Equality Day, let’s keep creating spaces where women feel supported, valued, and free to take care of themselves without guilt. Mental health is part of the conversation, and no one should have to carry everything alone.

Support can look like listening, checking in, making space, and showing up. 🤝🏽✨
