Today’s Scripture

“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Matthew 22:39, NIV

Today’s Word

One thing that holds us back from seeing changes in our life is when we don’t love who we are. If you’re not happy with the way God made you, there’s a constant battle going on inside—never feeling good enough always feeling wrong, with vague feelings of disapproval. If you don’t learn to like yourself as you are, weaknesses and all, you’ll always feel like you should be better. Added to the problem is that you have to live with you. You can never get away from yourself. If you don’t like yourself, life is going to be miserable.

It’s very powerful when you can say, “I like myself. Yes, I need to improve in some areas. I need to do better. But I’m at peace with who I am right now. I accept myself. I approve myself. I am not a finished product. God is in charge, and He’s still working on me, making me and molding me. It is not just up to me. I’m going to relax and enjoy life while God is in the process of changing me.”

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You for making me in Your image with gifts, talents, and abilities to enjoy life and accomplish Your will. Help me to love myself, with all my weaknesses and shortcomings and things I wish were different. I declare that I am happy to be who You made me to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾☀️❤️

Today’s Scripture

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
Luke 17:5, NIV

Today’s Word

When Jesus told His disciples they were going to have to forgive someone who wronged them seven times a day, meaning to continually forgive, their immediate response was, “Lord, increase our faith!” They knew that based upon the opposition and the offenses that Jesus faced, they would face the same. They didn’t say, “Lord, increase our faith so we can do bigger miracles, and increase our faith so we have a larger vision.” They asked Him to increase their faith so they could forgive the wrongs, let go of the offenses, and keep the toxins out.

Sometimes it takes more faith to keep your heart free from impurities than it does to accomplish a dream. We’re praying for faith for a breakthrough, faith for a new level, and that’s good. But have you ever prayed, as these disciples did, “God, increase my faith so I can let go of the hurts. Increase my faith so I can forgive the person who betrayed me. Increase my faith so I can keep my heart pure and move forward with my life”? That’s a key to living free.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You that You have an abundance of power to increase my faith for whatever I need. Thank You for Your love and grace that are mine. Right now I let go of the hurts and offenses and wounds of the past. I declare that they have no power over me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾☀️❤️

Today’s Scripture

“Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.” Job 1:10, ESV

Today’s Word

It’s interesting that when Satan wanted to test Job’s faith, he acknowledged that God had put a hedge of protection and blessing around Job and his family that he couldn’t pe*****te. Job had no idea of how God had kept him from trouble. You’re not at the mercy of fate and happenstance. God has a hedge around you and your family as well. That’s not to say that nothing harmful or evil will ever happen. God doesn’t stop everything but know that nothing can touch you without His permission. How many times has God protected you when you didn’t even know about it? He stopped that car from hitting you, stopped the sickness before it got to you, stopped the setback in its tracks. His favor, protection, and mercy are watching over you, keeping you from harm’s way.

We can all find reasons to live afraid, worried, and uptight about what might happen to us. But when you understand who’s watching over you, who’s ordering your steps, who’s fighting your battles, who’s holding back the darkness, you can say with confidence, “I will not fear.”

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You for Your protection and blessing over my life and my family. Thank You for watching over me and controlling my times of testing. I believe there is a hedge about me and that as I move forward in faith, You will bring me out better off than I was before. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾☀️❤️

Today’s Scritpure

Where there is no vision, the people perish.
Proverbs 29:18, KJV

Today’s Word

Do you have a vision for your life, a God-sized dream and promises from God? It’s easy to have complaints about what didn’t work out or who hurt us. That wrong vision is going to limit your life. The Scripture says that if you’re lacking vision, you’ve reached your limits, you’re focused on what you can’t do and on how big the obstacles are. What would happen if you start writing a new vision? Write what God says about you. If you’re dealing with an illness, write the vision: “God says He is restoring health to me. I am healthy and whole. I am strong and energetic.” If you’re believing to pay your house off, write the vision: “God says I will lend and not borrow. What I touch prospers and succeeds. I am debt free. I am blessed so I can be a blessing.” Keep a new vision in front of you. That’s what you’re giving permission to come to pass. Who knows where God will take you if you will dare to write the vision.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You that I can begin to see myself the way You see me: as blessed, prosperous, healthy, strong, talented, and successful. Help me to get the negative images out and the fresh, new vision in. I believe that Your vision for me will become a reality. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾☀️❤️

On Memorial Day let's give honor where it's due. ☀️

Today's Scripture

Give to everyone what you owe them...if honor, then honor.
Romans 13:7, NIV

Today's Word

All throughout the Scripture, we see that God blesses an attitude of honor. In Exodus, it says that when we honor our parents, we are promised long life. In Proverbs, it says that when we pursue righteousness, we will find life, prosperity, and honor. To show honor simply means that you give respect and recognition to others with your attitude, actions, and words. As we humble ourselves and give honor, we will reap a harvest of honor in our lives in return.

Today, we recognize Memorial Day as a time when we honor all the brave men and women who have given their lives in service for this country. As we remember them, let’s honor the gift of freedom they have given us by saying thank you with our actions and choosing to love and honor others. Let’s also honor all those who are serving in our armed forces and their families and sacrificing so much today. Let’s pray for God’s peace, protection, and provision over every area of their lives.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You for this special day to honor the men and women who have given their lives to secure and keep our freedom as a nation. Thank You that You are with our soldiers and their families wherever they go. Protect and provide for them and help them to know Your peace that passes understanding. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾☀️❤️

Today’s Scripture

When hard pressed, I cried to the LORD; he brought me into a spacious place. Psalm 118:5, NIV

Today’s Word

David enjoyed seasons with good breaks and open doors. But he says that what enlarged his life was when he was hard pressed. It was through the times when his family didn’t believe in him, when King Saul was jealous and trying to kill him, chasing him through the desert for years. He endured many situations that weren’t fair, including his own son trying to take the throne from him. But here’s the key: He used that pressure as fuel for his faith. He didn’t get bitter and give up when his dream looked impossible. He saw it as healthy pressure that was developing him, growing him up, with greater character, proving to God that he was ready to lead the people.

You don’t really know who you are until you’re put under pressure. You don’t know your true character until it’s tested in the fire of adversity. Quit letting the pressure from a situation or person defeat you, make you sour, give up on your dreams. If you keep the right perspective, you’ll be able to say, “God brought me into a spacious place.”

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You that in the times when I am hard pressed, You are going to bring me into a spacious place. Thank You that You are testing me and preparing me to become a person with great character. I declare that I am trusting in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾☀️❤️

MAY 21

“DON'T BE OUTFOXED”

Put on the breastplate of righteousness.

EPHESIANS 6:14
here once was a hunter in Belarus who shot a fox from a dis-tance, but when the man approached the wounded animal, it sprang on him. As the two scuffled, the fox got its paw on the trigger of the rifle and shot the man in the leg. The hunter was transported to the hospital, and the fox escaped.
In our struggle with sin, we've got to make sure Satan doesn't turn the tables on us. The Bible warns us to beware of the little foxes that can spoil the vines (Song of Solomon 2:15).
We're safe if we're always clad in the breastplate of righ-teousness. The word breastplate is misleading, since this piece of armor also protected the back, neck, and hips. It was like a wraparound shield that encased the body's vital organs. The breastplate of righteousness is the Bible's symbol for a holy life.
Living righteously requires us to be in constant submission to the will of God with hearts open to His righteousness, lest we be outfoxed.
Lay hold on the Bible until the Bible lavs hold on vou.🙏🏾☀️❤️

No Bo***ge God Can’t Break!!!☀️

Today’s Scripture

“Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” Daniel 3:25, NKJV

Today’s Word

Three Hebrew teenagers had their hands and feet bound firmly with ropes and then were thrown into a fiery furnace for refusing to bow to King Nebuchadnezzar’s golden idol. This seemed like an impossible situation for survival. But in that furnace, the only thing that burned were the cords that held them bound. God was showing us that there’s no bo***ge the enemy puts on you that He can’t break. There’s no addiction, no depression, no sickness that He can’t free you from. Yes, there will be opposition. The enemy will try to bind and restrict in any way he can. Sometimes the medical report is not good, or your child is off course, or the addiction seems permanent. Those cords are only temporary. Your time of release is coming. God wants us to see Him not just as a God who protects, but as a God who frees from oppression, who breaks bo***ges, who releases you from what has confined you. The same God who burned up the ropes that held the teenagers captive is about to burn up what’s restricting you.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You that whatever has restricted me in the past has lost its grip because Your Son defeated the enemy on the cross and has brought me into freedom. Thank You that my hands are no longer tied. I believe that the fourth man has set me free. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾☀️❤️
