Margaret Ellen Cooperrider, age 90, of Anchorage, Alaska, went home to be with Jesus on July 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy dedicated to family and joy.

Margaret enjoyed creating with her hands and loved making handcrafted keepsakes to share. From clothes for her children to award winning Alaskan sweaters, to intricate crocheted doilies, Afghans, shawls, and beautifully knit items. Later in life, she took up making wonderful bracelets to share with loved ones, residents of her assisted living home and caregivers.

She loved participating in various activities at the senior living home. If Margaret was in the room, everyone knew she was there. Her laughter was contagious.

Married to an Air Force Staff Sargent, Margaret traveled extensively throughout the States and eventually, to Alaska. On one of those trips, Margaret prayed and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour. Since that time, she maintained her steadfast love for Him and when able, she loved fellowshipping with Christian family at Maranatha Baptist Church.

Gathering with family, she loved telling stories and enjoying their company. She loved and took great pride in all her descendants.

Margaret was born at home on October 12, 1935 in Zanesville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 55 years, Robert, Sr. (“Coop”); her parents, Thomas and Fanchion Wiseman; siblings Donna, Ed, and Jim all of Ohio; and, a great-granddaughter, Mikayla Schulman of Anchorage. She is survived by her older sibling Bob of Ohio and daughter Twyla (Tom) Schulman of Palmer and son, Robert Jr. of Anchorage. Margaret also has three grandchildren, Ben (Anna) Schulman of Anchorage; Crystal (Jason) Reem of Palmer and Justin Schulman of Redmond, Oregon. She is also survived by great grandchildren Madisyn and Michael Reem and Emma and Shiloh Schulman. She also has two great, great grandchildren, Lucy and Violet Reem.

Service Information

A celebration of life will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church in Anchorage on Monday, August 3 at 11:00 AM, followed by a potluck afterwards. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM at the Fort Richardson National Cemetery where she will be buried alongside her husband.

The world became a little quieter on July 21, 2026. when Spencer King passed away at

the age of 47. Born on February 3. 1979, in Detroit, Michigan, Spencer was welcomed into

the world by his parents, Speneer Morrison and Alberta King, who nurtured his

strength, humor, and courageous spirit from the very beginning.

Spencer lived a life marked by resilience and a deep, steady love for his family. He

had a passion for music, fashion, and travel, and cherished spending time with his loved

ones. To know Spencer was to know loyalty. He was the kind of brother, son, and friend

who showed up whenever you called, who remembered the important things, and who

made sure the people he cared about felt safe. His presence carried a mix of quiet

strength and unmistakable courage - the kind that made family gatherings brighter

and ordinary days exciting.

Spencer approached the world with a determined spirit and a courageous heart.

offering security, laughter, and companionship to those fortunate enough to be part of

his life.

He leaves behind a large and loving family who will continue to honor him by living with

the same courage, compassion, and authenticity he embodied.

A gathering to celebrate Spencer's life will be held Saturday, August 1. 2026, were

loved ones will share stories, memories, and the lasting impact he made on their lives.

His voice, his humor, and his steady presence will be deeply missed - but his love will

remain, carried forward by all who knew him.

Vaughn Heiner passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at Providence Alaska Medical Center, surrounded by love, family, and angels. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and physicians who provided sincere and thoughtful care for Vaughn in his final days.

Lyle Vaughn Heiner was born to Stevens and Aurilla (Merrill) Heiner on April 22, 1955, in Rupert, Idaho. He was the second of seven children in the Heiner family, and grew up in Heyburn, Idaho. Beginning in 1974, Vaughn served an honorable two-year mission in Montana for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After his mission, Vaughn attended BYU, where he met Geri Woodworth. The two were soon married in the Idaho Falls Temple.

In 1981, Vaughn and Geri adopted their first child, a baby boy they named Skyler Vaughn Heiner. The following year, the family moved to Anchorage, Alaska for Vaughn's construction career. They adopted a baby girl in 1985 and named her Correen Marie Heiner. In 1988, the couple adopted a set of twin baby girls and named them Sariah Kaye and Savanah Sharon Heiner. Vaughn inspired imagination and instilled a love of reading in his children.

After a divorce in 1995, Vaughn met and married Mary (Ruple) Tollefsen in Anchorage in 1998. She has four living children: Krissy Tollefsen, Shawn (Cinderella) Tollefsen, Ryan (Bri) Tollefsen, and Travis (Tiffany) Tollefsen; and Joel, who died in infancy. Vaughn and Mary lovingly helped raise their granddaughter, Jennifer Tollefsen.

Vaughn had a successful career in commercial construction and was well known for his great skill and dedication to excellence. He was involved in many building projects around Anchorage and often pointed out the beautiful buildings he helped to create. He organized his garage immaculately to effectively utilize every square inch of space.

He served diligently in various church callings, and taught Gospel Doctrine as a beloved Sunday School teacher for many years. Vaughn was a master scriptorian and studied the words of prophets throughout his life. His wisdom blessed our lives.

As an avid reader with an exceptional memory, Vaughn's extensive knowledge of many subjects impressed all who knew him. Vaughn was also admired by many for the patience he showed in all aspects of his life. He was courageous in his fight against cancer and endured valiantly to the end.

Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents, Stevens and Aurilla Heiner; and his son, Skyler. He is survived by his siblings: Valerie (Les) Dixon, Kevin (Christine) Heiner, Bruce (Aleta) Heiner, Carol (Steve) Allred, Teresa (Tom) Worthington, and Heidi (Dan) Kline; his wife, Mary; his children, Correen (Andy) Smith, Sean (previously Sariah) Heiner, and Savanah (Alex) Benson; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Tollefsen, Emily, Eli, Cheyenne, Evelyn, and Lincoln Smith.

Vaughn's memorial service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 11701 Puma St, Anchorage.
