🎗This August, we provided $19,000 to support Tanana Chiefs Conference's Back-to-School clinics across Interior Alaska, helping expand access to the HPV vaccine, an important tool in preventing several types of cancer.

By incorporating HPV vaccination and education into convenient back-to-school health visits, TCC is reaching families in communities from Fairbanks to Galena, Northway and beyond.

We’re grateful to TCC for helping make cancer prevention more accessible to families throughout Interior Alaska. Reaching young Alaskans today is an investment in healthier communities for years to come. 💙

extends our appreciation to Aurora Integrated Oncology Foundation and Alaska’s Comprehensive Cancer Control Program for their generous support of TCC’s Back-to-School clinics held throughout the region this August.

Their support helped TCC encourage families from Fairbanks to Galena, Northway and beyond to bring youth in for well-child checks, sports physicals and immunizations — while also increasing awareness of important cancer prevention tools, including the HPV vaccine, which is recommended starting at age 9.

Throughout August, youth ages 0–18 who completed a qualifying visit at a TCC clinic received an entry into our Back-to-School grand prize drawing and could receive a $15 gift card while supplies lasted.

Pictured is this week’s Back-to-School event in Galena, held through the collaborative efforts of Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center and Edgar Nollner Health Center staff.

Thank you to our partners for helping make this regional effort possible and supporting healthier children, families and communities throughout Interior Alaska.
