Today marks the last day of June and the close of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. This month has been extremely heavy for so many of us. From personal and community tragedies to political tension, grief, and the everyday stress, so many of us are carrying so much that it hurts every part of the self. One thing I’ve been reminded of as a therapist is that people are hurting, and way too many are suffering in silence.

To the men: You don’t have to carry it all alone. Asking for help is not weakness, it’s courage. Even if you don’t seek therapy, seek community. But not just any community. I’m suggesting community that will be what you need, not a distraction from feeling.

You need to feel. The body does indeed keep the score AND unprocessed, unresolved stress and trauma will marinate in the body until you either implode (internally) or explode in ways you may regret.

As we enter a new month, let’s continue checking on one another, extending grace, and making mental health a priority every day, not just in June. Be kind. Be present. Keep healing.

🎒 WE NEED YOUR HELP, VILLAGE! 🖍️✨
We are counting down the days and getting so incredibly excited about our upcoming Back to School Bash! Our goal is to send 1,000 local students back to the classroom feeling confident, prepared, and ready to succeed.

We just wrapped up our big partnership planning meeting, and thanks to our amazing community, we are making incredible progress. However, we still have a crucial gap to fill to make sure every single backpack is fully stocked.

We are currently lacking:

🖍️ 1,000 packs of dry erase markers

🖊️ 1,000 packs of index markers

The Back to School Bash brings together organizations, businesses, and community partners who are committed to investing in the children and families of Anderson County.

💙 We're still looking for community organizations, nonprofits, agencies, and businesses to host resource tables at the event! This is a great opportunity to showcase your organization, share information about your services, and connect with families throughout the community.

🤝 We are also actively seeking donors and sponsors to help make this event a success. Every contribution helps provide supplies, resources, and support for local students.
