Patricia Ann Cooper Rea, (Patty) passed away on May 9, 2026, in Andrews, Texas. She was 61 years old, and while her passing leaves a tremendous hole in the hearts of those who loved her, the memories she left behind are anything but sad. She wouldn't have it that way.

Patricia was born on October 6, 1964, in Lubbock, Texas, to Roger Cooper and the late Wanda Colleen George Cooper. She grew up with her brother, David Cooper, and from an early age she had a way of filling a room with laughter. She was fun, silly, sweet, and more than a little cooky, and she wore every bit of that like a badge of honor. If you knew Patricia, you knew you were in for a good time.

In December of 1988, Patricia married the love of her life, Terry Rea, and together they built a family rooted in love, laughter, and a whole lot of Elvis Presley. Patricia loved Elvis with her whole heart, and she loved to sing along to his songs, loudly and proudly, even if she never quite hit the right notes. Honestly, that made it even better. That was Patricia: unapologetically herself, light hearted, and always ready to make the people around her smile.

Above all else, Patricia loved her family. Being a Mimi and grandma was the role she cherished most in this world. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she poured every ounce of her big, generous heart into them and into her children. She was the kind of mother and grandmother who made you feel like the most important person in the room.

Patricia was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews, Texas, where she found community, fellowship, and a deeper connection to the faith that carried her through life. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the arms of her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her husband and best friend, Terry Rea of Andrews who she loved and cherished so dearly; her daughter, Melissa Blakeney (Rea) and her husband Darrell and their daughter Gracelyn of Midland; her son, Christopher Rea and his furry kids of Dallas; David Cooper of Denton and his wife “Rita Gayle” Rita Cooper and their children, Holden Cooper and wife Shaina and kids of Midland, Hunter Cooper of Denton, Harlie Marshall and her Husband Garrett of Denton, Hayden “hayhay” Cooper and his partner Grace; Derek Scoggins and his wife Heather of Midland, and their children Olivia and Lincoln; David Rea and his wife Crystal of Lubbock and their children Colton, Ethan, and Ellie; and her father, Roger Cooper and his wife Pama of Andrews.

She will be met in heaven with open arms by her mother, Wanda Colleen George Cooper; her sweet nanny, Mamie George; Her dearly loved aunt, Sue Brown; her uncle, David Brown; her dear In-Laws Rupert “JR” and Dollie Rea; her dear friend Sherilyn Ford Blakeney, her brother in love Billy “Bill” Rea, and most of all - Elvis Presley himself. Patricia’s "going away party" will be held on May 23, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews, Texas, at 10:30 a.m. The family invites you to celebrate Patricia's life, and in true Patricia fashion asks family and friends to not wear "black," but bright and happy clothing that Patricia loved so dearly. As Patricia would say, "don't cry goober”!

Betty Dillard, age 88 and a fifty-seven-year resident of Andrews, passed away on Friday, May 15th, 2026 after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her family and the loving care of Permian Residential Care Center and fellow residents.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 21st from 9:00 am to 10:45 am, with the funeral service following at 11:00 am. Leslie Boone, minister of Andrews Church of Christ will be officiating at McNett funeral home chapel. Burial will take place on Saturday, May 23rd following a visitation at Foss Funeral Home in Valley Mills, Texas,

Betty, a 5th Generation Texan, was born in a farmhouse in McLennan County, Texas to Quintus & Mildred Meyer on Nov., 10th, 1937. Her father Quintus was an American born German. Her mother Mildred was a fourth Generation Texan and descendant of Cherokee Chief John Bowles’ daughter, who settled along the Bosque River in the hills around what is now Valley Mills.

Betty spent her childhood living the farm life of chickens, hogs, cows, horses, and mules. Her pets were Squirky the squirrel, Red the dog, and Veronica the cat. Her parents farmed cotton and picked it, along with her older siblings and migrant workers, but not Betty. She’d rather be on some adventure on the farm and would only stop to refuel on an occasional syrup and bread sandwich.

Skinny girl reluctantly gave it all up for school life where she played basketball and was a

Valley Mills Eagles cheerleader while her older brother played football. She fell for a tall, dark,

and handsome baseball player, son of a rancher and newcomer Big John. She caught his eye and was soon wearing his FFA class ring around her neck, even while playing basketball. It would fly up and hit her in the mouth, but she didn’t take it off until it eventually chipped her front tooth. They married two years later.

Betty was lighthearted and fun and enjoyed visiting and playing board games with her church friends. She retired in Andrews as a beautician of 45 years. She claimed within the last couple of weeks before her passing that she was going to learn to fly. So fly, Betty, fly. Isaiah 40:31

She is preceded in death by her parents, Quintus & Mildred Meyer and 3 siblings, Lydia Patterson, Quinta Lee Harris, and Gerald Meyer.

Betty is survived by her 4 children, Sherie Reid and husband Mike; John Chapman, II and wife Cindy; Shelley McCommon and husband Joel; Shanna Woodside and husband Dana.

Grandchildren are, Michael Reid and wife Lauren; Lacy Yocham and husband Hunter; Conner McCommon and wife Helen; Maggie Dorow and husband Brandon; John Chapman, III and wife Kara; Rachel Moszkowicz and husband Mason; Tori Woodside and fiancé Rydar Chittum; and Alex Woodside.

Great Grandchildren are: Bradley Reid, Micah Reid, Keelie Yocham, Braylee Yocham, Tag Yocham, Carter Chapman, Cam Chapman, and two more baby boys on the way in August – Beckham Dorow and Jamie McCommon.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Permian Residential Care Center nursing and staff; and PRMC Hospice for their unwavering care and love they provided to our mom and Granny.
