Sigma - Rho Chapter The official page of the Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the only international nursing honor society worldwide. Welcome to Rho Chapter.

STTI is a global community of nurse leaders with members belonging to 486 chapters who live in more than 85 countries. We represent the mission of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing: to support the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide. Rho Chapter supports the scholarship and professional development of

our members and offers opportunities to be active in our chapter through leadership, service, mentorship, and continuing education events. Membership is by invitation to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and leadership and to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing.

Hi new sigma members! I'm Fiorella Adan and I'm the Membership Engagement Chair for Sigma Rho. I'm reaching out with information about the Student Leader Intern position. Information about the position is below!

What you will do:
Work with a mentor from the Rho Chapter board
Attend Rho board meetings and provide the voice of students to the board
Carry out a project that aligns with the Rho Chapter strategic plan.
What you will receive:
Mentored leadership experience starting Fall 2025
Paid Sigma dues for one year
Financial support for conference attendance to develop leadership skills or to present your project.
A great addition to your resume

This award recognizes current or retired UMSN nurses who demonstrate/have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to nursing excellence. Honorees have made outstanding contributions in their careers as clinicians, educators, leaders or administrators, while actively supporting UMSN's Mission and Vision. Nominees should engage in alumni networking, demonstrate social responsibility and show leadership through events. The recipient impacts nursing locally and globally and is celebrated for innovations enhancing patient care.

EARLY CAREER ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

This award recognizes a U-M School of Nursing alumni who is making bold strides early in their nursing career. If you’re unsure, the committee positions are a great way to get started. The committee positions require little time and are a great way to learn about Rho and contribute your ideas.
