A sweet surprise for our pediatric teams and patients.

Thank you to Olivia and Catalina of Girl Scout Troop 04219 for donating Girl Scout Cookies from their recent cookie season. The cookies were shared with our pediatric nurses, pediatricians and patients, bringing smiles throughout the day.

This morning, Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center and Naval Support Activity Annapolis (NSAA) will conduct a large-scale public safety drill beginning at 8:00 a.m. and concluding by noon.

Community members may notice an increased presence of Navy and local emergency response personnel in the area, along with helicopter operations. Please be aware that these activities are part of a planned training exercise.

There is no threat to the public, and normal hospital operations will continue throughout the exercise.

At the Maryland Hospital Association's Annual Membership Meeting, Tori Bayless, CEO of Luminis Health, received the American Hospital Association Grassroots Champion Award. The award recognizes health system leaders who effectively educate elected officials on major healthcare issues and advocate for hospitals and their patients.

In addition, Deneen Richmond, president of Luminis Health Doctors Community Medical Center, accepted the American Hospital Association Member Milestone Award recognizing the hospital's 50 years of service to the community.

Congratulations to Tori and Deneen on these meaningful achievements.
