Daily reminder from a 20+ year therapist... You don't have to go broke to be successful in this industry.

I get so many messages from people feeling stressed or burned out from trying to keep up with all of the education options they feel like they need to succeed.

Here's your reminder to trust in yourself and your ability to learn through your own experiences. Throughout my career, I've had times where I was buried in books and research... I've had times (like last year) that I didn't do any education.... Now I only seek what I align with. I don't buy courses just because everyone else is doing it.

Social media makes it easy to think you're behind if you aren't commenting "BUY STUFF" in a funnel marketing post. Everyone has one nowadays.
Spend your money on things that you're really excited about learning.

Last year, I bought no courses. This year I'm enrolling in 4 (if I get accepted into all). The only reason I'm doing so many is because they are all from a singular school and the one that isn't flows seamlessly into the other 3.
(Or because I'm crazy lol)

Here's the honest truth (coming from someone who makes a living also selling courses).... You'll get burned out if you are doing nothing but trying to cram a bunch of memorization into your mind constantly.

Don't forget to do something fun. Something that fills your cup. Don't forget to rest, to play, to just enjoy the moment.

I just want you to believe in yourself and use your experiences to guide your growth. Learning can happen in everyday life, not just the classroom. You've got this! 💜

Casual reminder....

Hind end weakness and stifle soreness can cause delay in getting up after rolling, in the same way a person has trouble getting up off the floor. Does your horse look relaxed getting up or slightly stressed and tense like this horse? Noticing all of the little things will help prevent them from becoming bigger problems later on.

This was my mare last year when her surgery leg was giving her some issues. Just the difference in her overall shine and body condition from then to now tells me how much better she feels. Getting up and down is much easier too!

When I find my wheels spinning, it's time to slow down and just be present in the little moments....

But seriously though... I'm so thankful for my veterinary team that helps take care of my horse and clients. Have you thanked your veterinarian today?

Definitely not an official announcement, but if you'd like a peak behind the curtain.... 😉

Don't be afraid to work quietly in the background, but know when to step into your spotlight and roar....

Times are changing in the therapy industry. Change is scary, but sometimes you have to sail rough waters to get to new territory.

I've been in the circles of the equine therapy industry since I was 8 years old when I started observing 2 mentors that did acupuncture and 1 mentor that was a wizard with a cold laser.
I've spent the last 22 years working professionally in this space.

My 2026 has been full of firsts and changes that I've had to navigate. Luckily every challenge has been in a direction that is elevating. Y'all may think I'm not being present enough within the industry, but I promise I'm working overtime behind the scenes.

The vet board situation is scary. I spent 2 hours on the phone discussing the situation with a mentor of mine that went through this exact situation with the equine dentistry industry. He said that it will take the voice of the horse owners to get the change we need.

Not therapy professionals in a spitting match screaming who has more education or who is better at their job.... Horse owners writing in and telling the vet board they demand the right to choose who works on their horse. There is a place for veterinary medicine. There is a place for holistic therapy. And there's a space where both can exist.

I'm always an optimist and I think if we can set aside our differences, we can create positive change.

I'm also in a period of growth and change with my personal business too. .. Which is also slightly scary...

Don't mistake my silence on social media for disinterest and don't take my silence social media for avoidance.

There is no one that cares about this industry more than me. But I won't align myself with people using situations for paid views or to sell more products. I also won't align myself with self-proclaimed governing bodies that care more about sales than the growth of the industry.

I've spent many years learning that snakes are everywhere, but the only thing I can control is cutting my own grass so they can't hide in my yard.

Keep pushing towards your dreams. Sometimes that looks like a lot of work that people will never see, but don't be afraid to stand in your spotlight and Roar. Sometimes you have to let people know you aren't afraid to stand on business.
