The end of the school year brings immense stress, often triggering fatigue, behavioral meltdowns, and anxiety for both students and parents. It is a period of sensory overload, impending schedule shifts, and loss of routine that requires conscious decompression to navigate successfully.Tackling this seasonal burnout requires a few direct, manageable strategies: 🧠 Navigating Student Burnout: Normalize the exhaustion: Recognize that the “end-of-year slump” is a real physiological and emotional response, not just bad behavior or laziness.Protect sleep: Fatigue directly impacts emotional regulation. Maintain a consistent bedtime to help the brain process all the end-of-year changes.Keep expectations realistic: With finals and projects piling up, reduce unnecessary chores or pressures at home to give your child space to decompress. 🗓️ Managing the Transition Maintain “anchor” habits: Keep a few predictable daily routines (e.g., a morning walk or an evening wind-down ritual) to provide stability amidst the chaos.Anticipate the void: Kids often feel anxious about losing daily friend connections and a set structure. Start planning a few loose, low-stress summer activities or playdates to give them something to look forward to.

At ArtWell, we don’t align with any particular religious affiliation, but we agree that all walks of life should respect one another. Children’s YouTube educator Ms. Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso, recently shared a message about inclusion in her online classroom. The 43-year-old content creator, known for her Songs for Littles series that has billions of views, posted that everyone is welcome, specifically naming trans, gay, and nonbinary people, along with individuals from different religions, political parties, and backgrounds.

In a follow-up comment, Ms. Rachel stated she identifies as a Christian and believes, based on her faith and the example of Jesus, that no one should be excluded. She has previously celebrated Pride Month and expressed support for LGBTQ+ individuals.

Ms. Rachel is a former preschool music teacher with a Master’s degree in Music Education. She began creating content to help her own son with speech development and now reaches millions of young children and families worldwide.

Parents and viewers may hold different personal views on these topics and can decide what content best aligns with their family values. ArtWell thanks you !
