🎙️ Sheila Johnson, co-founder of BET and CEO of Salamander Collection, joins the Living Well with Alison Starling podcast. She is a trailblazing entrepreneur and wellness advocate inspiring resilience, women’s leadership, mental health and intentional living. In this episode she brings her experiences together around a question at the heart of Living Well: After achieving extraordinary things, what does a fulfilling life actually look like? Her answer is simple and deeply personal: learning to love.

In this candid conversation, Sheila Johnson goes beyond her public story and shares how repeatedly moving as a child shaped her, and how music became a source of stability and ultimately a lifelong influence. She discusses a difficult marriage, losing her sense of identity, years of rebuilding her understanding of herself and opens up about imposter syndrome, raising children, mentorship, and her commitment to creating opportunities for others.
