Carolyn (Harris) Knight, age 76, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was born on November 29, 1949, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late William Harris and Obe (Long) Harris. She was a member of Bearwallow Road Church of Christ. Carolyn worked as a manager for Eckerd. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Obe Harris; beloved husband, Charles “Charlie” Edward Knight; daughter, Melissa Diane Clemons; brothers, James Edward Harris, Jimmy Don Harris, and Howard Harris; and sister, Jean Lukemire. Carolyn is survived by her son, Keith Edward Knight (Marie); brother, Johnny Harris (Ruby); sisters, Marilyn Green (Billy) and Betty Bess (Windle); grandchildren, Jeremy Edward Clemons (Ashlee), Cathy Throgmorton, Sean Norris, and Brandy Norris; and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday, June 8, 2026, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Joe Bogle and Johnny Harris, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 1pm to 5pm and Monday, June 8, 2026, from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm.

Donnie E. McCool, 89, of Ashland City, Tennessee, departed this life on May 27, 2026, at his home.

He was born on February 19, 1937, in Pleasant View, Tennessee, to the late James Zelmer McCool and Louise (Binkley) McCool. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Linda; his children, Everett McCool and Maria (James) McCool Binkley; his two grandchildren, Tyler Randall (Kaylee Beth Penick) Binkley and Macey Deshea Binkley, fiancée of Gavin Christopher Beard; brother-in-law, David (Rita) Wall; as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Millard McCool; and brother-in-law, Morris (Rachel) Wall. Donnie was a devoted Christian and was a member of Bearwallow Road Church of Christ. He was a hardworking man. He graduated from Cheatham County High School in 1956 and especially enjoyed playing basketball under Coach Ralph Spangler. He loved working on tractors and equipment and took great satisfaction in getting them running again. He also enjoyed helping Wilson Bell mow grass and assisting Creig McLaughlin with installing electric gates.

Funeral service will be Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 12pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Joe Bogle, Tyler Binkley, and Pete Krantz officiating. Burial will follow in Stewart/ Wall Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday, May 29, 2026, from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday from 10am until the service hour of 12pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Binkley, James Binkley, Gavin Beard, Pete Krantz, Richard Krantz, and Seth Binkley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief, where he enjoyed volunteering and packing boxes.

Hope Elaine (Batts) Duke, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. She was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on May 29, 1946, to the late Henry F. Batts, Sr. and Tennessee Salome (Smith) Batts Sanders.

Hope was a dedicated and hardworking woman who touched many lives through the different roles she held over the years. She especially enjoyed working alongside her husband, Don, as co-owner of Ri-Don’s Decorating Center, and she found joy in taking part in craft shows and sharing their talents with others.

Throughout her life, Hope was known and loved by many through her work at Miss Ledell’s Daycare, Toddler’s Inn Day Care, Cheatham County Nursing Home, and The Busy Bee with Fay Lee. Before her retirement, many also came to know her through her work as a funeral attendant at Cheatham County Funeral Home, where she faithfully helped keep everything in order. Hope was deeply proud of her mission work with Red Bird Mission, where she built lifelong friendships and left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She was dearly missed there after her illness.

Hope is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Lee Duke; children, Starr Hagewood and Stacey “Bubba” Duke; siblings, H.F. Batts, Jr, Ann Batts Patterson, Gayle Batts Barber, and Jimmy Batts.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Mandy (Jay) Holcomb, Beth (Drew) Williams, and Dakota Duke; great-grandchildren, Case Holcomb, Rilee Williams, and Weston Williams; sister, Mary Jo Jackson; daughter-in-law, Dusty Duke; son-in-law, Mark Hagewood; sister-in-law, Glenda Batts; brother-in-law, Tommy Barber; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 29, 2026, at 12noon with Derek Batts officiating with burial to follow in Mt. Liberty Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 3pm to 7pm and on Friday before the service from 10am until service hour of 12noon.

Serving as active pallbearers are Kip Clark, Brance Jenkins, Tony Barber, Todd Lee, Trent Lee, Matt Batts, and Nick Batts. Honorary pallbearers are Case Holcomb, Hank Batts, Michael Jackson, Bobby Lee, Mark Hagewood, Greg Jackson, and Joe Evans.

The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to the ladies of the community who surrounded Hope with such love and care through every meal, visit, and act of kindness. Martha Sue Pedigo, 85, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in Bethpage, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Paul Harris Anderson and Annie May (Owen) Anderson. She was a devoted homemaker for her husband and family and formerly attended Ashland City Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Roger Dale Cavanaugh, and her sisters, Carol Anderson and Margie Jones. She is survived by her husband, Bob Pedigo; her daughter, Cammy (Scott) Davis; her bonus son, Noah Cook; her brother, Homer (Peggy) Anderson; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and friends.

The funeral service for Martha Sue will be Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Scott Davis officiating. Leonard Kenneth Schubert, 90, of Nashville, Tennessee departed this life on May 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 27, 1936, in Kingston, Tennessee to the late James “J.L.” Leonard Schubert and Hazel (Vann) Schubert. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie “Marie” Schubert; son, Kenny Schubert; daughter, Margie Schubert; brothers, James Schubert, Johnny Schubert, Bobby Schubert, and Jerry Schubert; and sisters, W***y Clyde Davis, Margaret Pelfrey, Betty Davis, and Robbie Lucille Schubert. Kenneth proudly served in the National Guard. He spent more than 20 years working as a dedicated truck driver and was a skilled equipment mechanic for Metro. He leaves behind his son, Samuel Schubert; daughter, Janet Thompson (Robert); brothers, Jackie Schubert (Carolyn), Melvin Schubert (Roberta), and Joey Schubert (Mildred); grandchildren, Wendy Knight (John), Jason Schubert, Joshua Thompson (Allison), Lucas Thompson (April), John Thompson, Jessica Schubert (Justin Brown), and Adam Schubert; and 18 great grandchildren.

He was born on February 27, 1971, in Springfield, Tennessee, to Billy Ray Eden and Mary (Pulley) Eden. He worked as a maintenance man. Billy Wayne loved racing and working on vehicles. Tina Michelle Ferry, 50, of Ashland City, Tennessee departed this life on May 11, 2026.

She was born June 16, 1975, in Falls of Rough, Kentucky to Paul Edward Ferry and Rebecca Jean (Sturgeon) Ferry. She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Edward Ferry and stepmother, Joyce and grandparents, Paul Eli Ferry, Bonnie Ferry, and Artie Wethington.

Tina graduated from Breckinridge County High School. She was an event planner, working for Amanda Bell for 9.5 years. She loved shopping especially for shoes, horses, camping, boating, and floating on the river while gossiping with her sissy. She loved the Lord and adored her family, especially her 14 grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 16 years, Wesley Michael Coradini, she leaves behind her mother, Rebecca Jean (Sturgeon) Ferry; her sons, Christopher Lee Carter (Bethany) and their children, Abee, Callahan, Dean, Asher, Ellie and Kylie; Brandon Shawn Carter (Megan) and their children, Beckham, Ava, Kylie, Jayden, and Jaelynn; Zachary Carter; and Wesley Coradini, Jr. (Whitney) and their children, Wrynn and Waylon; daughter, Jessica Lynn Coradini and her son, Hunter; sisters, Betsy Frankilin (Jamie) and Sarah Ferry.

Funeral service will be Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 12noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Garrett Milliken officiating with cremation to follow. Janice J. Fee, age 78, of Ashland City, Tennessee departed this life on May 8, 2026.

She was born on October 31, 1947, in Coalgood, Kentucky to the late Hiram J. Fee, Jr. and Colleen Juanita (Flanary) Bates. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rick Fee; and great-nephew, Ethan Biggs.

Jan was a Christian and worked for Cheatham County Schools as Jimmy Maxey’s secretary, but she most enjoyed farming. She was proud to be “Aunt Jan” to her nieces and nephews. At the Ashland City Senior Center, she loved to be-bop dance and taught loom knitting and loved being part of the senior community.

She is survived by her sister, Debby (Roy) Biggs; nephews, Brian (Dona) Biggs, Steve (Hollie) Biggs, and Ben (Casey) Fee; niece, Kris (Ryan) Thompson; great-nephews, Brennan (Savannah) Biggs, Jack Thompson, Eli Thompson, Daniel Fee; great-nieces, Kaylee Biggs, Emma Biggs, Ryann (Nate) Ludwick, Lucy Fee, Ragan (Cole) Brown, and Layla Brown; great-great-nephews, Baylor Biggs and Brooks Biggs; great-great-nieces, Amelia Ludwick and Margo Ludwick,; half-sister, Tabby Herron (Danny) and her sister-in-law, Eulalie Fee. Her wishes were to be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Her remains will be interred in Felts Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. She was born April 22, 1950, in Ashland City, Tennessee to the late Buford Eakes and Christine (Simmons) Eakes. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Moon; son, William Moon, Jr.; brothers, Jimmy Eakes, Danny Eakes, and Larry Eakes; and sister Nancy Mangrum.

She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in her spare time.

She leaves behind her daughters, Sharon Orum, Donna Cunningham, and Michelle Dowlen; brother, Ronald Eakes; sister, Vickie Markgram; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A private burial was held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee.
