Sherry Ann Jackson

Sherry Ann Jackson, age 66, of Chapmansboro, Tennessee departed this life on July 21, 2026, at her home.

Sherry graduated from Cheatham County High School with the Class of 1977 and worked at the steel plant for many years and later as a caregiver. Her nieces will forever treasure memories of riding with her to Cheatham Dam in her Falcon, enjoying pool parties, and spending the night at her house, where hamburgers and french fries were always on the menu. These simple moments became some of their most cherished memories and remain a lasting reminder of the love and joy she shared with her family. In her later years, Sherry most enjoyed spending time with the love of her life, Melroy, her devoted pet, Fancy and her many friends who were like family to her.

She is survived by her fiancé, Morris “Melroy” VanWhy; sisters, Peggy Boyd (Marvis) and Linda Cantrell; special nieces, Teresa Czap, Candi Travis (Terry), and Christi Gist; nephews, Terry Hudgens, Craig Hudgens (Beth), and Jeremy Morris (Dana); her 4-legged love, Fancy; and sisters-in-law, Pat Hudgens and Julia Hudgens.

Her wishes were to be cremated with no services. Cheatham County Funeral Home 615-792-2552 online condolences at cheathamcountyfh.com
