Mrs. Ethel Maude Lex, 102 years old, wife of William C Lex, Jr, resident of Granite Farms Estate - formerly of Ivy Lane, Concordville, Pa., died on July 27, 2026. Ethel was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Bill.

Ethel and Bill were teenage sweethearts and married in 1943 just before Bill shipped off to fight the second World War in the South Pacific as a U.S. Marine. He returned home to meet his daughter Jean, then 18 months old, for the first time.

Ethel, Bill Jr., Jean and Bill 3 lived in Upper Darby until 1962 and then moved to Concordville where they lived until Bill's death at which time Ethel moved to Granite Farm Estates.

Ethel and Bill spent many wonderful years at their shore home boating and fishing. Ethel was an avid fisherwoman and the BEST at catching the First Fish, the Biggest Fish and the Most Fish. Bill was the first to say he was the Captain of the boat (Billy-Jean) but he was married to "The Admiral".

Ethel Lex was a member of the Eastern Star and the information source for all Family members - both Lex and Hayes - as to who was related to whom.

Ethel was predeceased by her Husband Bill Lex, Jr., daughter Jean Murray and brother Sonny. She was survived by sister Reba, Son Bill 3rd, 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.

The gale force wind that was Barbara Rotter shifted to a whisper on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Heaven just got a little spicier and way more fun.

She was 89 years old and resided in Broomall. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, she was a graduate of Chester High School. Barbara held numerous positions throughout her life in small and large businesses, related to customer service and accounting.

Barb was a devoted spouse and doting grandparent. She made friends wherever she went and had many of them (including several best friends). She was a faithful lover of animals, and always had multiple pets. She was also a good neighbor, so much so that she would babysit and often share meals with her neighbors.

Barb was a fabulous cook, but also loved dining out. When asked what she loved to make most, she would often quip, "Reservations!" Her refrigerator door salad dressing assortment was awe-inspiring! She was a foodie before the word even existed.

In her later years, through no choice of her own, she became a resident at the nursing home. She made so many new friends there that they called her the "mayor". She was so popular that when they did tours of the nursing home, they made sure to stop and talk with her. Her gift for connecting could even include a cashier at a grocery store, a restaurant server, or random person standing in line next to her. She built genuine relationships with people she saw regularly and wanted to hear all about their lives.

She had a great sense of style, always looking very well put together. Her nursing home friends always commented that her socks, shoes, and outfits always matched. She had a dresser drawer full of socks in every color of the rainbow.

And there wasn't an ice cream cone or sandwich that she didn't like.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Edward Rosenthal and Esther Mary (Levenstein) Rosenthal. Additionally, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Ross Rotter.

She is survived by her children Gary Goodman (Michelle), Lisa Joy Goodman (Scott Breyer), stepson Ron Rotter, and stepdaughter Donna Mullen; her brother, Alan Rosenthal; grandchildren Tracey, Susan, Andrew, Jeffrey, and Emily; and great-grandchildren Tyler, Melanie, Rylee, and Grace.

Visitation: Monday, August 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, Pennsylvania 19014.

Interment: Private and at the convenience of the family

Sharon Renee Wojciechowski, 74, of Thornton, PA, lived with fierce loyalty, unmistakable wit, and an authenticity that drew people to her. She passed away on July 16, 2026 with her family by her side after a sudden illness.

Born on January 21, 1952, in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Genevieve Neaves Halvorsen and Charles Halvorsen. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John J. Wojciechowski, her sister Deborah Berrier and her two daughters Deena O'Brien (Michael), and Jana Litwa. Lastly, she is survived by her four grandchildren, Joseph Clark, Max O'Brien, Robin Toy, and Grace O'Brien.

Sharon was a graduate of Garnet Valley High School along with vocational school where she trained as a hairdresser. Throughout her life, she generously shared that talent with family, friends and neighbors, often bringing her scissors and supplies into their homes or welcoming them into her own home where she gave countless haircuts. A visit with Sharon always included a glass of her homemade iced tea and plenty of conversation. She later went back to nursing school and spent several years working at Riddle Hospital, where she formed friendships that endured for decades and remained a treasured part of her life until her final days.

Sharon had an eye for beauty. Whether it was the way she dressed, the beautiful spaces she created in and outside of her home, or her unmistakable sense of style and class. She believed that taking pride in yourself and your surroundings mattered. At the same time, she balanced elegance with her sharp wit and an unmistakable and irreverent sense of humor. Her style was distinctly hers, and those who knew and loved her will not only miss her laughter, but also the honesty and spirit that made her so uniquely Sharon.

Above all, Sharon was devoted to the people she loved. If Sharon loved you, she loved you fiercely. She was passionate, outspoken, deeply loyal, and never hesitated to stand beside those she cared about. She especially enjoyed the simple pleasures she shared with her husband, John and their weekend adventures that provided some of her favorite moments.

While her family grieves the loss of her presence, they find comfort knowing that the best parts of her will continue to live on through them. Her strength, loyalty, humor, and love are woven into the lives of her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her story does not end but will continue in theirs.

In Sharon's memory, her family hopes you'll take a Sunday drive with someone you love, spend an afternoon doing something that brings you joy, tend to your garden, pick up the phone, and never leave the important things unsaid. Life is precious, relationships are imperfect, and tomorrow is never promised.

Bruce A. Scattolini, age 74, passed away on July 14, 2026. Bruce was raised in Wallingford, PA, where he graduated from Nether Providence High School. He attended St. John Chrysostom Church during his childhood and later made his home in Trainer, PA, where he lived for the remainder of his life.

Following his graduation from Penn State University, Bruce became a proud member of Steamfitters Local Union 420, dedicating his entire career to the trade before his retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic and the pride he took in his craft. Bruce enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially canoeing, fishing, and hunting. He also had a lifelong love of music and was a talented musician who played several instruments, including the guitar, piano, drums, clarinet, and saxophone.

He was the son of the late Serafino and Mary (née Santangini) Scattolini and the brother of the late Richard Scattolini.

He is survived by his brothers, Dennis Scattolini and Francis Scattolini (Joanne); and his nephew, Tyler Scattolini (Nicole).

Burial will be held privately.
