Gratitude doesn’t mean ignoring your pain or pretending everything is okay.

It just means choosing not to let pain be the only thing your mind focuses on.

Depression has a way of convincing people that nothing good exists. Anxiety has a way of making people fear what could go wrong next.

But gratitude helps bring you back to the present. Noticing the small things. The people who love you. The fact that you made it through another day. The little moments of peace we usually overlook.

And sometimes, healing also looks like complaining a little less. Not because your struggles aren’t real, but because constantly feeding negativity can quietly drain your spirit.

What we focus on grows. If we only focus on what’s wrong, eventually that’s all we’ll see.

You can be struggling and still grateful. You can be healing and still hurting. Both can exist at the same time.

Tonight, try naming 3 things you’re thankful for. Not because life is perfect. But because even in hard seasons, there is still something worth holding onto!

You are worthy—
not because you’re perfect,
not because you’ve proven anything,
and not because you’re better than anyone else.

You are worthy on your best days
And on your worst ones!

Before the wins.
After the mistakes.
In the middle of the mess.

You are the only you in this world—
but your worth was never something you had to earn in the first place.

It’s already yours!!!

To become a Hall of Famer—after everything—isn’t talked about enough.

Chris was supposed to be an NBA bust. Supposed to spiral, question himself, and be out of the league in five to seven years. He was never supposed to become an All-Star. Never supposed to be one of the best at his position to ever play the game.

He was just 20 years old.

That moment was supposed to change everything.

But it didn’t.

It made him into who he is today.

A week ago, I called my brother to tell him how much respect I have for him. I told him he was the one who was supposed to make it—that if I had made it, I would have lost everything… including my mind. I told him God chose him because He knew Chris could handle it.

As for me, I fell into depression after being cut from the NBA. And I never had to make my mistakes in front of the world.

So I can’t imagine the level of courage, resilience, and faith it took for Chris to become who he is.

It’s incredible.

And I couldn’t be more proud ❤️

By God’s grace 🙏🏾
