Men's mental health is an important conversation that we're glad to create space for at Richmont!

This week, our Multicultural Stories event featured a great discussion on Men in Mental Health with two Richmont alumni, Michael Kanner, Co-Founder of Anchored Mind, and Christopher Boyle, counselor at Anchored Mind. We discussed the challenges men face, the importance of men in the counseling profession, and how we can better support the men in our lives.

We would also like to congratulate the Anchored Mind team! Anchored Mind is celebrating the launch of Anchored Mind 2.0 this Saturday, October 10, from 10 AM to 2 PM in Roswell, GA. Tour their new space, enjoy free fitness and recovery sessions, and learn more about their approach to whole-person wellness!

Learn more at anchoredmind.care and RSVP for the launch celebration.

We were honored to be welcomed by School of Ministry alumni Dr. Travis and Tina Hall, who shared a beautiful testimony of their transformational experience at Richmont and the impact it continues to have on their ministry.

Rev. Dr. Preston Hill, Assistant Professor of Integrative Theology and D.Min. Program Director at Richmont, shared a powerful word on Trauma and Faith.

Celina Noble from Admissions and Dr. Rochelle Mason from Marketing represented Richmont and shared how we prepare individuals to pursue their God-given purpose when called to counseling or ministry, while equipping churches to serve their communities.

This past Sunday, Richmont was grateful to join more than 200 pastors and ministry leaders at the Multiply Church Summit in partnership with the Noonday Baptist Association in Marietta!

As a first-time sponsor, Richmont had the opportunity to connect with churches across our community and introduce many ministry leaders to Richmont for the first time. It was also a joy to reconnect with Richmont alumni Laura Tennille Brown and Jessica Ruiz, pictured with our team at the event.

Representing Richmont were Michelle West, VP of Admissions; Dr. Rochelle Mason, Director of Marketing & Communications; and Deanna Davis, Clinical and Senior Director of the Richmont Trauma Center.

We also shared how churches can schedule training through the Richmont Trauma Center on understanding trauma and creating trauma-safe churches, an important resource as pastors and ministry leaders are often among the first people individuals turn to during traumatic events.

We look forward to growing this partnership and expanding pathways to Christ-centered education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, advanced ministry degrees, and certificates.

Special thanks to our marketing partner, Joy Drake, for helping foster this new community connection as we continue advancing healing, restoration, and transformation in individuals, churches, and communities.
