I served with Nucleate (Florida Chapter) as the Partnerships Operations Lead, where I organized a statewide AI in Biotech event in collaboration with UF Innovate Accelerate at the University of Florida. At this event and others, I secured industry/academic sponsors and partners who will continue to support and partner with Nucleate Florida Chapter despite my stepping down last month to focus on the final stretch of my PhD. My contributions were also felt in the Grant Writing and Alternative Funding departments, where I trained and handed over responsibilities to the new team. I’m thankful for the opportunities I had to learn, and network while serving with Nucleate. I continue to contribute to the team as an Ex-Leader/Alumnus. Nucleate is TIME's inaugural list of America's Best Incubators and Accelerators in August 2026.
My attention is now focused on completing the final stretch of my PhD, advancing research initiatives at New Life Research Foundation - Neliref Ltd/Gte in partnership with the African Bioinformatics Institute (ABI) based in South Africa, and pursuing our drug discovery programs at Bio-PrecisionAI Health.
I believe some people learn from my journey and benefit from my Eurekas (Eureka means "I have found it”), that’s the essence of sharing it. I felt the need to say this: being visionary and purpose-driven is important, but so is the disciplined pursuit of less. Prioritizing where you invest your energy is essential for deep, focused work. You don’t need to be everywhere, neither do you need everyone’s approval or validation. Focus, strategy, and the right network are what you need.
I’m not involved in everything. I’m focused on succeeding in these areas, building and expanding our partnership base, and making meaningful progress before pivoting to other aspects of my professional and career goals.
