Kristin Michelle Bewley, of Little Elm, Texas, went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2026, at the age of 50. She was born on June 12, 1976, in Dallas, Texas to her parents Robert Burks and Patricia Dingman.

Kristin was a dancer for many years before becoming a veterinary technician, but her true dream in life was to be a wife and mother. Her family was at the center of her world, and she found contentment in the simple joy of having them by her side. She was deeply involved in each of her children's interests, giving up countless weeknights and weekends to support them, cheer them on, and be there for the moments that mattered to them.

Kristin was also a teacher who taught hearts and minds about Jesus. She faithfully served the Lord without seeking recognition. In fact, she hated attention and the limelight, preferring instead to quietly serve and love those around her. Her faith was an important part of who she was and was reflected in the way she cared for her family, friends, and others.

Those who knew Kristin will remember her as a faithful friend, loving mother, and supportive and loving wife. No matter the circumstances, she was content as long as she had her family with her. She gave freely of her time and herself to the people she loved, always making their lives and interests a priority.

John Henry Vogeler, 80, passed away August 22, 2026. He was born August 5, 1946, in Wahpeton, ND, to Oliver J. and Audrey M. (Breaux) Vogeler. John was a 1965 graduate of Momence High School in Momence, IL. He served in the US Army from 1966 to 1969 in South Vietnam at Cam Ranh Bay from September 1966 to September 1967. He became a union carpenter out of Northern IL and IN after his return to civilian life until he retired. He was a resident of the Momence area from 1960 to 2022 when he moved to the Denton, TX area to be closer to his family. He loved playing golf, especially at the old Manteno Golf Course where he developed many friendships. He enjoyed fishing in the Kankakee River and the Willow Slough in IN.

John is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Vogeler.

He is survived by his brother, Dennis Vogeler and wife, Patty of Aubrey, TX; sister-in-law, Janet Vogeler of Haslet, TX; two nephews, Troy Vogeler and wife, Camen of Union, KY, and Nicholas Vogeler and wife, Kelly of Carrollton, TX; nieces Alicia and Jamie Gibbs of Keller, TX; grand nieces and nephews, Melanie, Molly, Megan, Audrey, Weston, Olivia, Samantha, Laurel, and Beau.

Andrew Lee "Andy" Pittman, 67, passed away on August 17, 2026. He was born on March 9, 1959.

At a young age, Andy began swimming with a local swim club near his home. He was an avid swimmer throughout his entire life. He also fell in love with horses early in life. His first horse was Peanut, and he cleaned stalls at the place where he boarded Peanut to help pay for his board. Andy had horses again from 1998 through 2026 and became an accomplished horseman, competing in barrel racing, pole bending, flags, and breakaway roping.

Andy enjoyed cooking and was quite good at it. He loved eating Cajun food, especially crawfish and shrimp po'boys. He also enjoyed traveling with his family and treasured the time they spent together.

His working career began at age 15 at Dairy Queen. He also mowed yards and later worked at 7-Eleven convenience stores. Andy graduated from Broadmoor Senior High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1977. In 1986, he completed the Paralegal Studies Program at the University of New Orleans.

Andy began his professional career as a paralegal in 1986, working with law firms in New Orleans and later in Washington, D.C. He was well respected in his field by his colleagues and attorneys. In 2021, he started his own business as a contract paralegal and continued the business until shortly before his death.

Bruce Bryan Baxter, 67 years young, of Dallas, Texas, passed through our Lord's heavenly gates on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Bruce was born in Dallas, Texas, on December 7, 1958. He attended Spring Valley Elementary, Northwood Junior High, Richardson High School, Texas Tech University, and graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas. While attending the University of Texas at Dallas, he earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, further developing his knowledge and skills in operations, people, and resources.

Bruce had a commanding presence along with a genuinely caring personality. He was also an accomplished athlete, team leader, captain, and quarterback. In his younger years, he was a near-scratch golfer. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan, who were always number one in his heart. That said, he was known to root for the Texas Longhorns from time to time when watching alongside his mom. Bruce was also the owner and operator of the family ranch in Tioga, Texas, where he spent his time when he wasn't at his residence in North Dallas.

He is survived by his siblings, Stephanie, Brenda, and Stuart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dolores Baxter.

A Memorial Service celebrating Bruce's life will be conducted by Slay Memorial Funeral Center of Aubrey, Texas, and held at the Bolarosa Ranch in Tioga, Texas, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Charles Edward Belew was born at home to Irene Shipman Belew and Howard Monroe Belew on October 23, 1939. The Belew family home was located in Climax, Texas, a community located northeast of Princeton, Texas. You can find more of the Belew Family buried in Van Winkle Cemetery.

Charles graduated from McKinney High School in the class of 1958. He loved his alma mater, his hometown, and his classmates. He attended one semester of college at Texas Tech University and then returned home to begin working.

Over the years, he worked many jobs that connected him to exciting friendships and opened different doors to new career passions, including a brief time in the Coast Guard that he spoke of often. In the 1970s, he was able to purchase land in McKinney, Texas, where he oversaw the building of his dream home constructed by his Uncle Stanley Shipman and his father, Howard Belew. They were expert craftsmen, and they built the two-story home where Charles and his family would live for two decades.It wasn’t just a house, though. It was a place of respite and joy for Charles: Shiloh Ranch.

He and Dee dedicated the land and the home to God, as they knew that it was a gift from Him. It was a storybook place similar to an old, small town. Entering the driveway under the large sign, guests would pass the Town Hall, where many Belew and Covington-Hughes family reunions and church potlucks were held. David Kent Shelton passed away on August 15, 2026. He was born on August 20, 1956, in Aubrey, Texas, to J.B. Shelton and Hazel A. Winton Shelton. He lived in Ponder, Texas, at the time of his passing.
A certified Master Mechanic, Kent spent most of his adult life working at several auto dealerships before retiring. He had a natural talent for fixing things and took pride in what he could do. His love of mechanics, fixing things, and helping others was a meaningful part of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Shelton; his daughter, Rina Maloney, and husband, Thomas; his beloved grandchildren, Hazel Maloney and Dakota Maloney; and his son, John Shelton. He is also survived by his brother, Lynn Shelton, and wife, Brenda; his brother, Ronald Shelton, and wife, Lori; his sister, Sheryl Shelton; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. Shelton and Hazel A. Winton Shelton; his brothers, Robert Shelton and Donald Shelton; and sisters Billy Faye McBride and Betty Smith.
In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held. He will be laid to rest at Tyson Cemetery in Pilot Point, Texas.

Barbara Lanell Bryson, 82, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, at her home in Collinsville, TX. Barbara was born July 3, 1944, in Lewisville, TX, to Elzy and Madie (Haston) Hart. She married the love of her life, Jerry W. Bryson, October 9, 1964, in Little Elm, TX.

Barbara found great joy and comfort in her many creative hobbies. She loved knitting and cross-stitch, taking pride in the beautiful and thoughtful pieces she created with her own hands. She also enjoyed diamond painting and art, allowing her creativity and imagination to shine through in everything she made. These hobbies brought her countless hours of relaxation, fulfillment, and happiness, and her handmade creations will be cherished as special reminders of her love, patience, and creativity.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Elzy and Madie and grandson, Noah Bryson.

Those left to cherish her memories are husband, Jerry Bryson of Collinsville, TX; sons, Scott W. Bryson and wife, Brandie of Collinsville, TX, Kirk Bryson and wife, Melissa of Collinsville, TX; daughter, Wendy David and husband, Chris of Pilot Point, TX; six grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, Karlie, Haidyn, Emilie, and Jake; three great grandchildren, Emma, Carsyn, and Camdyn.
