When your eyelids start to feel heavy, even everyday things like applying makeup can get harder.

That was the case for this patient in her early 40s, who came to Dr. Hudson Frey feeling like her upper eyelids no longer matched how she felt on the inside. The heaviness had reached a point where she couldn't apply makeup the way she used to. Her before photos showed slight hooding of the upper lids and very little tarsal platform, the space above the lashes where eyeshadow and liner actually sit.

To address it, she chose an in-office upper eyelid blepharoplasty. In about an hour, Dr. Frey removed the excess upper eyelid skin, always with a natural result in mind rather than an overdone one.

Her three-month results speak for themselves. Her eyelids show beautiful symmetry, there's a real improvement in her tarsal show, and applying makeup is easy again. Most of all, her eyes simply look brighter and more open. Both she and Dr. Frey are thrilled with how it turned out.
