Every summer, from July 4th to Labor Day, our weekly baking therapy group makes no bake recipes, since we have plenty of heat coming in the doors and windows and we don't need more from the oven! For our final endeavor of such this year we had an awesome time with a very worthwhile result, Butterscotch Corn Flake Haystacks. It couldn't have worked out better, one of most memorable projects this year.

Today for our monthly felt project we celebrated the upcoming Labor Day by paying homage to all hard working people. The residents chose to make images of an athlete, a sanitation worker, a firefighter, a courier service person, a chef and a nurse!

Today we had a very special visit from the remarkable Matty Owens. Truly tops at taps! All of the residents and some visiting family members were just blown away. Here is a video displaying her wide array of selections of various genres that she makes all her own. It concludes with me (activity coordinator, Aaron Arnold) in a completely spontaneous collaboration which she graciously agreed to do when I asked.
