Congratulations, Stefanie! 👏✨

Fifteen Johns Hopkins nurses have been recognized as 2026 Excellence in Nursing Award recipients by Baltimore magazine. Among them is our very own Stefanie Widner, R.N., who is recognized under the Community Care/Ambulatory Care category. Stefanie is an R.N. at our Germantown practice.

"I am proud of being an ambulatory nurse because it has led to many long-term relationships with patients. I am able to provide compassionate and empathetic care throughout their entire health journey. I have become the person they seek for comfort and help during difficult times, and this has been the most rewarding part of my 20-plus year career.” 🌿

Making an impact 🙌

It's Nurses Week! Today, meet Misty, an R.N. on our central nursing team.

"I chose a career in nursing because I wanted to make an impact on improving the healthcare experience for patients. I didn’t realize our patients would impact me just as much. After ten years as an R.N., serving our community continues to be one of my greatest honors." 🩺

It's National Physicians Week! Photographed here are a few of our gynecologists and obstetricians, our Arlington team, and our White Marsh team.

Says Lindsay Cheu, M.D., gynecologist and obstetrician at Johns Hopkins Medicine Gynecology & Obstetrics, Columbia: "I became an OB/GYN because I love being able to care for people throughout their lifetime from adolescence to menopause and beyond. It is a privilege to walk with people throughout their lifetime, and challenging times in their lives, and I enjoy building long term relationships with my patients."

It takes a team ✅🙌

It's Patient Safety Awareness Week! 🩺 This week offers a great opportunity to bring awareness to safety programs and share appreciation for our teams that make great contributions to patient safety.

Featured today: our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine – Arlington. During a recent flood, the team's quick-thinking and collaboration kept our patients safe and diminished the impact of water damage to supplies and equipment.

Do you have a patient safety shout out? Leave it in the comments. ⬇️⬇️
