We need your help reaching our goal of 1,111 supporters by the end of the month! Any donation, big or small makes a difference and helps us close our fundraising gap so we can continue to work to end mental health stigma and close the 11 year average it takes for someone to get mental health care, so fewer people have to navigate a mental illness alone.

Last Thursday at NAMI Metro’s Faith Conference, one message kept rising to the surface...connection matters.

We talked about what it means to care for others without abandoning ourselves in the process. About how recognizing burnout, depression, or exhaustion is one thing, but giving ourselves the care we deserve is another kind of courage entirely.

There were honest conversations about resistance in faith spaces when it comes to integrating mental health support. One response stayed with us: sometimes it’s human connection that softens hearts. Vulnerable stories. Consistency. Continuing the conversation even when it feels frustrating or slow. Misconceptions and misinformation can change over time when people feel seen, heard, and connected.

We also reflected on the importance of not using faith to avoid pain, but allowing faith and mental health care to work together in healing.

Another reminder we're carrying with us: we are not meant to bear the brunt of everything alone. We can lean on teammates, community, and one another.

At the end of the day, it’s about staying connected. To ourselves. To each other. To hope. Thank you to each and everyone who attended last Thursday's conference. You all are amazing and we look forward to staying connected to you as we keep showing up to support our community's mental health!

Yesterday at the we joined young community members and , , and for the Youth Mental Health Summit and Book Talk! We were grateful to hear so many vulnerable stories be shared. Hearing someone else be vulnerable can help others know it's okay to share their own hardships too. When we begin to share our challenges, we let others know they are not alone, and that we can join together to find and build solutions.
