Congratulations to Michelle Slike, Assistant Professor and Assistant Chair of the School of Physical Therapy, who has been appointed to the Maine State Board of Examiners in Physical Therapy for a two-year term. The board’s primary responsibility is to protect the public by overseeing the licensure and regulation of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in Maine, including interpreting and enforcing the Maine Physical Therapy Practice Act and Board rules, addressing disciplinary and ethical matters when necessary, and helping guide decisions that impact the practice of physical therapy across the state.

We also received great news that Caley Nault, a student athlete on the Husson Women’s Soccer Team, has been named NAC Woman of the Year. She is the second Husson athlete to receive this honor, joining Kenzie Dore in 2024. Caley earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science in May 2026, and is entering the second year of her Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in the fall.

Way to represent Husson DPT! 🦅

Together, they have contributed 106 years of service to our community. This lilac tree will stand as a lasting tribute to their dedication and the positive impact they’ve had on our students.

Congratulations to Doug Parent and Ben Sidaway, as well as Ed Mestieri and Jeri Stevens, who were recognized in absentia.
