🍂❤️ A LITTLE FALL MAGIC AT CARDINAL HOSPICE! ❤️🍂

At Cardinal Hospice, we love finding special ways to bring joy, comfort, and a touch of seasonal cheer to the patients and residents we are privileged to serve. 🍁🎃

Our team had such a wonderful time creating this festive fall display at Ridgeland Nursing Home for everyone to enjoy! From the colorful pumpkins and beautiful mums to the charming corn stalks and cardinals, every detail was added with love and the hope of bringing smiles to those who see it. ❤️

A very special THANK YOU to David Dempsey and Beaufort Charities for generously donating the corn stalks and pumpkins that helped make this display possible! Your kindness and support mean so much to our community and to the patients and residents who get to enjoy these seasonal touches. 🍂

Cardinal Hospice is getting into the fall spirit! ❤️🍂
We were delighted to participate in the Scarecrow Making event at The Retreat on Lady’s Island! Our festive scarecrow, complete with bright red cardinals, autumn flowers, and colorful pumpkins, celebrates the beauty of the season and the importance of community.
At Cardinal Hospice, we are grateful for opportunities to connect with our community, share smiles, and be part of the special events that bring people together. 🐦🍁

A lifesaving addition is officially hitting the road in Port Royal! ❤️

Today, Jeremy Todd of Cardinal Hospice delivered four Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) donated to the Port Royal Police Department.

These AEDs will be placed in PRPD patrol vehicles, ensuring that lifesaving equipment is available on the road 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In a cardiac emergency, every minute matters. Having an AED readily available allows our officers to provide immediate assistance while emergency medical services are responding.

We sincerely thank Jeremy and Katelyn Todd, Cardinal Hospice, and the Port Royal Town Council for their support in making this possible for our community.

Today was a very emotional and meaningful day for all of us at Cardinal Hospice.

We are incredibly thankful to The Retreat at Beaufort for inviting us to share in and conduct today’s remembrance of September 11, 2001. It was an honor to gather together, reflect, and remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the men and women who answered the call to serve our country in the years that followed.

A special thank you to our Chaplain, Reverend Ronnie Walker, for his participation and for sharing such meaningful words and prayer during today’s remembrance.

As a veteran-owned hospice, 9/11 carries a particularly deep meaning for us. Service to others and service to our community are at the heart of why Cardinal Hospice exists, and we are grateful to have been invited to share such an emotional moment with the residents and staff of The Retreat at Beaufort.

Twenty-five years later, we remember. We honor. And we will never forget.

We never wanted recognition for simply doing what we believed was right. We saw a need, had the ability to help, and wanted to serve the community where we live and work. The appreciation we have received has been far greater than we ever expected, and we are truly grateful.

That spirit of service is why we created Cardinal Hospice. We knew we would face an uphill battle as a small, local hospice competing against much larger, established providers. But our hearts were in the right place. We did not create this company solely for ourselves. We created it to put our community and the people we serve first.

When I tell people I am a hospice nurse, they often say, “I could never do that.” But serving others does not drain us. It gives us energy and purpose. We are strengthened by putting others above ourselves and keeping Jesus Christ at the center of our service.

Galatians 5:13 reminds us, “You were called to freedom. Do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”

Jesus Christ was the greatest of all, yet He humbled Himself and served others. The King of Kings did not come to be served, but to serve. If He chose the place of a servant, how could we believe that serving others is beneath any of us?

Lord, continue to fill us with that same heart. Keep us humble, help us follow Your example, and allow us to serve others wholeheartedly.

This is how we serve both God and our community. Ask yourself today: How can I serve God by serving someone else? ❤️

We are incredibly grateful for this recognition and for the tremendous appreciation we have received.

When we learned that the Port Royal Police Department needed AEDs for its patrol vehicles, we honestly did not view the donation as a big deal. We saw a need, had the ability to help, and simply wanted to do something good for the community that has done so much for our family and Cardinal Hospice.

We often encourage people to support local businesses, but that relationship must go both ways. Local businesses also have a responsibility to support and invest in the communities that make their success possible.

Thank you to Chief Meyers, the Port Royal Police Department, the Mayor, and Town Council for this recognition. We hope this encourages others to find a need they can fill. During tonight’s Port Royal Town Council meeting, the Port Royal Police Department was presented with four Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) donated by Jeremy and Katelyn Todd, owners of Cardinal Hospice.

These AEDs will be placed in PRPD patrol vehicles, meaning there will now be an AED on the road and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In a cardiac emergency, every minute matters, and having an AED close by can make a critical difference.

This effort came together through the support of the Port Royal Town Council, with the goal of improving emergency preparedness and public safety throughout our community.

Please join us in welcoming Tiffany Archer as Cardinal Hospice’s new Director of Community Relations and Engagement!

The growth we have experienced this year has far exceeded our expectations. Because of the trust our community has placed in us, we have been able to expand our team and create opportunities we did not anticipate reaching before the end of the year.

Tiffany is exactly the kind of person we want representing Cardinal Hospice. She was raised right here in Beaufort, attended school here, and is now raising her own children in this same community. Her family is here, her roots are here, and she understands this community because it is her community. Tiffany embodies what our promise, “Your Family, Our Family,” is truly about.

We are intentional about the people we invite to join Cardinal Hospice. We do not simply sift through applications and blindly fill positions. We look for people who share our heart, understand our mission, and genuinely care about the families and communities we serve.

There are others in our community whom we already have our sights set on and hope will one day become part of this team. As Cardinal Hospice continues to grow, we trust that He will place the right people in the right positions at the right time. We look forward to the day when we can make those opportunities happen and welcome even more exceptional people who feel called to serve alongside us.

Our work is deeply rooted in faith and in answering the call to serve:

Cardinal Hospice is locally owned, family owned, and veteran owned. To our knowledge, we are the only hospice serving this area that can proudly say all three. Choosing a local hospice is more than choosing a provider. It means choosing people who live here, raise their families here, and are personally invested in the well-being of this community. When we say your family becomes our family, we mean it because there is a very real chance that you already are our family, friend, neighbor, or someone we have known for years.

Our team has overcome every obstacle placed before us because our passion for caring for this community is greater than anything that has been thrown our way. We are here to serve, communicate, respond quickly, and always place each patient and family at the center of everything we do.

We could not be prouder to welcome Tiffany to our team. She will be an incredible asset to Cardinal Hospice, and we cannot wait to see what happens as we shift gears and begin this next chapter of growth.
