James Rittwage

James Rittwage, age 81 of Bedford, Loving Father of Jamie Marie Rittwage, Grandfather of Ayva & Dream, Confidant & Closest Friend of Annette Nichols & Friend of many. Jim played for the Cleveland Indians in 1970 & was known for his 98 MPH. fast ball as a Pitcher. Then after many years of playing AAA Ball, he owned Paul James Clothier in Solon & worked there many years. Jim also enjoyed playing golf & was an avid player. He enjoyed many years with his connected family who loved him very much & called him Papa Jim. He will be remembered for his Sincere Thoughtfulness & his nickname of Jimmy Baseball from his friends.

Betty J. Stottlemyer (nee Rush) age 64, of Solon, Ohio. Beloved wife of Matthew Stottlemyer; cherished daughter of the late Scott L. and Helen J. Rush; dearest sister of Samuel (Susan) Sun and Jacquelyn (Glenn) Fittante; dear aunt of Samuel Sun Jr., and Fiona and Sabrina Fittante. Friends and family are welcome to St. John Funeral Home, 923 Broadway Ave, Bedford, OH 44146 on Wednesday, September 2 from 4 P.M. – 7 P.M. followed by a service on Thursday, September 3 at 10 A.M. with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Solon, Ohio.

Andrew "Butch" Lenart Sr.

Andrew “Butch” Lenart Sr., age 81, passed away on August 23rd, 2026. He was the son of Bill and Elizabeth Doctor and was a long-time resident of Auburn Township, Ohio. Andy worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service and enjoyed working on classic cars and tractors. He also enjoyed small farming, cooking and baking Hungarian dishes, and supporting his grandchildren’s sporting and musical events.

Andy is survived by his wife Darlene; children Andrew (Christine) and Janis Czernicki (Paul); and grandchildren Andy and Christopher Lenart and Drew and Lizzy Czernicki.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday August 31st, 2026 from 4-8pm at St. John Funeral Home, 16381 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44023, where Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday September 1, 2026 at 11am. Burial to follow at Shadyside Cemetery, Auburn Township, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Andy’s name to Rescue Village https://www.rescuevillage.org/.

Gary Bruce Hudson

GARY B. HUDSON, age 62 formerly of Lakewood and of Glenwillow, passed away on August 24, 2026. Beloved son of the late Ruth Jean Hudson and Stanford Merril Hudson; loving brother of Renee Marie Hudson; treasured friend of Jacqueline Eizember-Maggard; cherished nephew of Peter (Karen) Troyan and Elmer (Maryanne) Bisler; dear uncle of Jack Hillard; great uncle of Rodger Hillard, and a cousin to many. Gary had a strong love for God and Jesus. He loved his pet birds, Buddy and Harold, nature, and technology. Gary was a friend to all who knew him. Friends and family are welcome at St. John Funeral Home, 923 Broadway Ave, Bedford, OH 44146 on August 31 from 4 P.M. – 7 P.M. with a funeral service at 7 P.M.
