Has it really been a week?

Last Thursday, we moved Melusine to her new home at the Belfast Boathouse.

And what a location it is! Salty Witch Sauna’s first days here saw some of the most beautiful sunsets and full moon I’ve ever seen. My woodfired sauna suffused in the most gorgeous color, light and moonbeams.

Experience deep heat, relaxation and the sublime natural beauty of this place. Cool off in saltwater swimming in a melange of maple leaves and seaweed.

Just heavenly. Thankful for all those angels along the way. 🙏🪽

The BEST Full Moon Row of the year!

Sunday’s Hunter’s Moon Row was seriously one of the clearest, most vibrant full moons I’ve ever seen out on the water. An absolute stunner!

And my crew was nothing to sneeze at either! Hardy women who took to the oars with aplomb.

And seals on rocks on the way out! 🦭🦭

ITS OFFICIAL EVERYONE!

I just signed my contract with the City of Belfast to operate my sauna at the Boathouse! I couldn’t be more thrilled! We’re moving her to her new home this afternoon.

AND TOMORROW, THURSDAY, OCT. 22, I’m hosting an open house/open sauna and you’re invited! Come down and meet Melusine, have a cup of hot c***r and warm up in the sauna! 4-5:30pm 🔥🔥

➡️ Bring a bathing suit, a towel and lots of water. Water shoes, if you’d like to dip, can be nice and a cozy robe or wrap to wear in between heat-ups and cool-downs.

THANK YOU to Parks & Rec Director Adrien Lumumba and Assistant Director Carolyn Steeves and the City of Belfast for the opportunity to bring woodfired wellness to our waterfront! And to EVERYONE who supported this endeavor along the way! 🙏🙏

Over this past week, I’ve had so many amazing, strong and fascinating women in my boat! Many of whom have longtime friendships with each other. Some of these started in childhood. Others formed out of business collaborations or creative endeavors. Some of these women are longtime clients of mine that have become friends.

I feel honored to know each and every one of them! And watch them just light up in the boat, as they find their rhythm and connect with their power 💪👏♥️

Do I also row with men? Yes! And boys too. I love rowing with guys, as well.

Folks of ALL genders, all ages, all skill levels and all shapes and sizes are welcome in my boat!

October is a great time to try something new! Book your morning or sunset row this month. Sunset rows are offered until the 30th. The Full Hunter’s Moon Row on 10/24 is wide open!

Life is sweeter from a dory 🍎

One of my favorite fall traditions is picking apples from my boat! We row right up to a lovely old apple tree, its branches stretched out over the water, tucked in a snug little cove near the trestle bridge upriver.

Ripe for the picking. With a slight salty tang. No apples taste better!

VICTORY! 🤩

Last night, the Belfast City Council voted unanimously to approve my proposal to set up Salty Witch at the Belfast Boathouse!

I am so moved by the council’s support and all the support I’ve received from this community, near and far. This was no small feat and I couldn’t have done it without you. THANK YOU x 1 MILLION! 🙏🔥🧡 I AM SO BOWLED OVER BY YOUR SUPPORT!

I’m hoping that Melusine will be settled into her new cold season home by the end of next week and and ready for warmth, wellness and fun on our beautiful Belfast waterfront! Ready for YOU! 🧡🧡

SALTY WITCH SAUNA AT THE BELFAST CITY COUNCIL TOMORROW NIGHT. TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6 AT 7PM!

My proposal for Salty Witch to be set up at the pilot location at the Belfast Boathouse will go before the Belfast City Council tomorrow evening.

You can attend the meeting or watch it via the city of Belfast website. You can also read the full proposal on the website under the city manager’s report for Oct. 6.

The support for my proposal has been overwhelming. 50 letters! Thank you so much everyone!

If you haven’t written a letter, but want to, you can still do that. Just get it in before the meeting! Send it to your city councilor if you live in Belfast and if you don’t, you can still send it to a councilor or our mayor Eric Sanders. All their contact info is also on the city of Belfast website!

Hoping to have some good news to report to you tomorrow evening and hoping to SEE YOU IN THE NO. 1 SAUNA IN MAINE THIS FALL & WINTER! 🔥🔥 🙏🙏
