Help us celebrate an exciting milestone for Kelly Holbert!

Kelly recently passed her national certification exam and completed her graduate coursework toward a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. This achievement brings her one step closer to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in West Virginia!

Kelly has been part of BCHA since 2016 and has worked at Myers Clinic since 2011, serving in roles ranging from billing and registration to management, Human Resources, and case management. Now, nearly 30 years after first pursuing a degree in psychology, she’s continuing the journey she started all those years ago.

We asked Kelly to tell us a little more about what this milestone means to her 👇

Q: Why did you decide to pursue becoming an LPC?
Kelly: Helping others find peace, hope, and joy has always been a goal of mine. This path provides me the opportunity to do that.

Q: What are you most passionate about in your work with patients?
Kelly: I believe all people are unique and special, with the ability to achieve their dreams and goals. I enjoy incorporating spiritual wellness into counseling, as well as art and music therapy interventions, but ultimately, the client chooses what works for them.

Q: What does reaching this milestone mean to you?
Kelly: “Becoming an LPC is not only the end of a journey I started 30 years ago, but also the beginning of a new journey of walking alongside clients seeking their own end to one journey and beginning of a new journey.”

Congratulations, Kelly, on this incredible accomplishment and the next chapter ahead! 👏 We’re proud to have you as part of .

If your family needs support processing something that's happened online, or you just want guidance on how to start these conversations, our team is here to help.
