Today we’re celebrating Birdie’s graduation! 💙

Birdie started seeing Mrs. Hannah for feeding therapy when she was just 1 year old. At the time, she relied mostly on milk, but now she loves to eat just about anything!!!

Mrs. Hannah also had the joy of working with Birdie in speech therapy. Her communication has grown so much, and she can now confidently tell us what she wants!

We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished, Birdie. Congratulations on your graduation—we can’t wait to see all you’ll continue to achieve!

💙 SENSORY HAIRCUT EVENT 💙

We are so excited to be hosting our first-ever Sensory Haircut Event at Inclusionary Therapy!

Join us on July 31st from 2:00–7:00 PM for a supportive and sensory-friendly haircut experience designed to help children feel more comfortable and confident during their haircut.

Each appointment will be 30 minutes, giving your child time to get comfortable and allowing our team to follow their individual needs and pace.

💙 A few tips to help prepare for haircut day:

Have a favorite show ready.
Pick out a favorite show ahead of time and have it ready to play before the haircut begins.

Use the word "trim."
Talk about getting a "trim" rather than a "cut" if that language feels more comfortable for your child.

Bring a favorite special activity.
Bring a favorite toy, iPad, or activity that your child doesn't get to use all the time. Having something special to enjoy during the haircut can be a great motivator and distraction.

Plan a special reward for afterward.
Think about something your child will be excited about after their haircut, such as going to the park, getting ice cream, or having a favorite treat. We will have suckers available, but sometimes our kiddos need a little extra motivation.

Know the haircut style ahead of time.
If possible, have the haircut style planned before your appointment. This helps us get started quickly and avoids having to make decisions while your child is sitting and becoming antsy.

Every child is different, and what works for one child may not work for another. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where your child can feel safe, comfortable, and successful.

When we look at these numbers, we don't just see numbers. We see you. 💙

Every family who trusted us with their child.
Every person who walked through our doors.
Every therapist who joined our team and brought their heart and expertise with them.
Every session filled with progress, connection, laughter, and sometimes even a few tears.

These numbers represent the community that has helped Inclusionary become what it is today and we truly couldn't have done it without you.

From the families who trusted us from the very beginning to those who have joined us along the way, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journeys. Thank you for believing in us, recommending us to others, cheering us on, and continuing to grow alongside us.

Two years ago, Inclusionary Therapy opened its outpatient clinic, but our story started a little before that. 💙

We began in one small room at Marshall County Exceptional Center, which was such a blessing and gave us the opportunity to start serving families in our community. Before long, we had expanded to two rooms and grown to a team of two therapists offering Speech and Occupational Therapy.

Today, we have 8 therapists, offer Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy, and have our very own building with room to continue growing.

Looking back at where we started and seeing where we are today is something we are incredibly proud of. We are so thankful for everyone who has been a part of our growth over the years and excited for what comes next! 💙

Today we had the sweetest time showering Mrs. Sophia as we help her prepare to welcome Baby Spence! 💙

While we are so excited for this new chapter in her life, it also marks Mrs. Sophia’s last week at Inclusionary Therapy. As she prepares for Baby Spence’s arrival, she and her family will be moving closer to home.

Mrs. Sophia has made such a meaningful impact on our team, our families, and the children she has served. We are incredibly grateful for the time we’ve shared with her and the heart she has poured into Inclusionary Therapy.

Please join us in wishing Mrs. Sophia and her family all the best as they begin this exciting new adventure. You will always be a part of the Inclusionary family! 💙

This week we are celebrating 2 years of Inclusionary! Thank you for making the last two years so incredibly meaningful. 💙

To start off the celebration, we wanted to begin with the voices that matter most, our families that we serve. Every smile, milestone, challenge, and victory has been an honor to be part of.
