Saint Joseph Hospital – Lexington and Saint Joseph Hospital – London in Kentucky have been named among America's Best In-State Hospitals for 2027 by Newsweek. This is the second consecutive year Saint Joseph Hospital – London has been recognized on the list.
“As we celebrate 150 years of our ministry, achievements like this are a testament of our hard-working caregivers, the dedication of our physicians to clinical excellence and the legacies of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, who established our ministry in 1877,” said Terry Wooten, president of Saint Joseph Hospital – Lexington.
This year, the hospital celebrates its 150th anniversary as Lexington's first hospital and the flagship facility of our ministry as CommonSpirit Health in Kentucky. In London, its sister hospital also recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, with a yearlong celebration reflecting on a century of service and commitment to patient care that carries on today.
“We are proud to receive this recognition from Newsweek for the second consecutive year,” said John Yanes, president of Saint Joseph Hospital – London. "This achievement is a testament of the hard work and dedication our caregivers bring to their practices each and every day. Our caregivers are focused on fulfilling our mission to make the healing presence of God known in our world to improve the health of the people we serve.”
